| COMMUNITY CALENDAR Local Events Back to the Moon : Coshocton Planetarium will be presenting an encore performance of the “ Back to the Moon ” program that was shown last spring . There will be a 7 p . m . and 8 p . m . program on the following dates : Wednesday , Sept . 26 and Thursday , Sept . 27 . Reservations can be made online at coshoctonplanetarium . com . If you are not able to make online reservations , you may call the office of Coshocton High School at 740-622-9433 for assistance . As in the spring , these programs are free to the public . There must be a minimum of 10 people for a showing .
Fall Festival : Altercare Coshocton , 1991 Otsego Ave ., will have a fall festival Saturday , Oct . 13 from 11 a . m . – 3 p . m . This is free to the community and all are welcome . They will serve pulled pork from Team Rine-O for $ 7 . Tickets available in advance and can be picked up at Altercare from 8 a . m . – 4 p . m . A hamburger meal will also be available for $ 5 . Live entertainment including the Walhonding Rube Band and Barefoot McCoy . Coshocton sheriff will be there along with K-9 unit and MRAP vehicle . Boy Scout troop 403 will be making popcorn and there will be sno cones for purchase . Other activities include craft vendors , Paw Patrol characters , bounce houses , pumpkin painting , and others .
Farm Show : Country Crossroads Education of Yesterday will be having their 14th annual farm show on Oct . 20 – 21 . Located at 3685 Cass Irish Ridge Road , Dresden , this show offers kids of all ages an opportunity to get up close and personal with antique farm machinery , construction equipment , tractors , trucks , fire trucks , cars , and other equipment . Saturday hours are 10 a . m . – 5 p . m . and Sunday hours are 10 a . m . – 4 p . m .
Fall Foliage Tour : Ohio State University Extension will sponsor the 48th annual drive-it-yourself Coshocton County Fall Foliage and Farm Tour on Saturday , Oct . 20 from 10 a . m . – 5 p . m . and Sunday , Oct . 21 from noon to 5 p . m . Maps will be available at The Animal Boutique and Villas , 23905 Airport Rd ., Coshocton . Free and open to the public . Donations welcome . Celebration of Music : “ A Celebration of the Music of Newcomerstown native Manuel Yingling ” will be Oct . 23 at 7 p . m . at St . Paul Lutheran Church , 121 S . College St ., Newcomerstown . A roast beef dinner at a cost of $ 12 will start at 6 p . m . with a free concert to follow at 7 p . m . Habitat 5k / 10k : Habitat Haunted 5k / 10k Hustle for Humanity will be Saturday , Nov . 3 from 8 – 11 a . m . The first 25 to sign up will receive a t-shirt . Medals given to all participants . Special awards to the first , second , and third overall male and female runners . The course is fast or flat . The 10k will be a two-loop course in West Lafayette . Free Family Law Clinic : There will be a free family law clinic on Oct . 2 at the Coshocton County Juvenile Court , 426 Main St . People with limited income dealing with family law issues in Coshocton County may qualify to speak with an attorney at no cost . Attendance is limited to 16 qualified individuals and registration begins at 1:45 p . m . on the day of the clinic .
Canal Royalty Candidates : The Coshocton Canal Court Committee is seeking candidates for the 2018 Canal Queen , Princess , and Junior Queen , to be crowned at the 49th annual Roscoe Apple Butter Stirrin ’ Festival in October . Eligible queen candidates include 15-19 year-old female Coshocton County residents or attendees of Coshocton County schools . Princess candidates are 10-14 years of age , and junior queen candidates 5-9 years old . Only the queen has specific travel responsibilities , although the rest of the court will be invited to attend several events . Upon successful completion of her reign , the queen is eligible to receive a scholarship . Applications are available at the Roscoe Village Visitor ’ s Center , or by emailing a request to coshoctoncanalcourt @ gmail . com . Deadline for the queen and princess applications has passed .
