Take charge of diabetes during the holidays
November is National Diabetes Month , and with 24 million Americans who have diabetes , this time of year can be more difficult to manage .
OSU Extension Coshocton County will offer Take Charge of Your Diabetes During the Holidays . Those with diabetes or prediabetes and their family members or caretakers are encouraged to attend and learn how to stay healthy during the holidays .
Preparing nutritious foods that taste good can be difficult at any time of the year . It is no wonder the holidays present special challenges for individuals with diabetes . Take Charge of Your Diabetes During the Holidays will provide tips for managing diabetes during the holidays . People will learn how to prepare favorite holiday foods that are both nutritious and delicious . Cooking demonstrations and samples will be provided .
Take Charge of Your Diabetes During the Holidays will be held Thursday , Nov . 3 from 6-7:30
p . m . in Frontier Power ’ s community room , 770 S . Second St ., Coshocton . The program is free , but registration is required by Friday , Oct . 28 . Registration is limited to 30 participants . Register online at go . osu . edu / takecharge2022 or call OSU Extension at 740- 622-2265 .
