The United Way of Coshocton has been granted $ 12,000 toward maintaining the Dolly Parton Imagination Library , a free book program founded by the singer / songwriter , by the Honor Trust Project . The project distributes unclaimed funds resulting from a class action settlement in what is called the “ cy-près doctrine .” In this case it was Judge John J . Russo who distributed the funds . “ This money could not have come at a better time as we only had about six months left with the money allocated for this program ,” said United Way Executive Director Lyn Mizer . “ After the next year if new monies do not come in , the board will have a very difficult decision to make . What a great way to spend unused monies . Judge Russo went beyond the call of duty to ensure these dollars were wisely spent and we are very grateful .” Mizer and Lynn Jacobs , board president , went to Cleveland to accept the award .
