Donald Louis Balo , 92 , died Saturday , Sept . 10 , 2022 at his residence .
He was born Jan . 6 , 1930 in Coshocton to the late Ralph Lester and Grace Marie ( Paisley ) Balo . He served in the US Army during the Korean War . He married Mary Joanne ( Shaw ) Balo on Nov . 8 , 1953 , who preceded him in death on Dec . 25 , 2010 . He was a member of the Conesville United Methodist Church .
Don was a member of several local clubs and organizations at different times over the years , including the Moose , Elks , Eagles , AmVets , and V . F . W . He was an employee at the former Cyclops in Coshocton , retiring from there after 25 years . He went on to work with his son at Balo Logging . He spent a number of years wintering at Paradise Park in Harlingen , TX . He enjoyed bowling , golf , camping , and boating . He was an avid fan of the Cleveland INDIANS (!) and enjoyed going to Clippers games .
He is survived by two sons , Terry ( Kathy ) Balo , and Donald Balo Jr . ( Kelly McPherson ), both of Conesville ; two grandchildren , D . J . Balo of New Albany , and Erika Balo of Colorado ; three step-grandchildren , Deena ( Jeremy ) Willis of North Carolina , Bryen Johnson of Warsaw , and Jeremiah ( Vanessa ) Johnson of Warsaw ; stepgreat-grandchild , Micah Willis ; two sisters , Etha Tatro Coshocton , and Marilyn ( Kenny ) Fuller of Conesville ; a half-sister , Iris ( James ) Mercantile of Coshocton , a halfbrother , Chris ( Molly )

In addition to his parents and wife , Don was preceded in death by a sister , Vivian Simmons ; a brother , Joseph Balo ; half-sister , Rhonda DeBolt ; and step-mother , Ida ( Hawthorne ) Balo .
Calling hours for Donald Balo will be held from 6 to 8 p . m . Thursday , Sept . 15th at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw . Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a . m . Friday , Sept . 16th at the funeral home , with Pastor Jeff Calkins officiating . A light lunch will follow at Conesville U . M . C ..
Burial with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co . Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard will take place at 11:00 a . m . Monday , Sept . 19th at Coshocton Co . Memory Gardens . www . fischerfuneralhome . com

Bonnie Lou ( Unterzuber-Nelson ) Ankrum April 17 , 1920-September 5 , 2022
Bonnie Ankrum daughter of Louis and Myrtle ( Gates ) Unterzuber , was an amazing woman of God . Throughout her 102 years , she exemplified an unselfish life and was a very generous woman in so many ways . Bonnie cared for several family members who struggled with serious illnesses . During the holidays she and her husband Homer R . Nelson ( July 1918-April 3,1982 ) would anonymously provide for needy families in the community . She and Homer owned and operated a convenience store in Adams Mills before there were convenience stores . Bonnie was preceded into heaven by her three sisters Violet Turner , Emma Finley and Goldie Allen . Bonnie was a founding member of the Solid Rock Foursquare Church in Coshocton . Bonnie and Homer were married for 40 years . In November 1988 Bonnie married her second husband , Walter Raymond Ankrum ( May 5 , 1920-December 3 , 2005 ). Bonnie has three sons : Robert L . ( Carol ) Nelson , Thomas L . ( Irva ) Nelson , Pastor Gary L . ( Rebecca ) Nelson ; Grandchildren : Janette L . ( Lyle ) McCullough , Thomas L . Nelson II , Mark A . ( Lynn ) Nelson , Robert L . ( Angela ) Nelson Jr ., Kathern N . ( John ) Reed , Amy J . ( Ernie ) Fry , Lyndi W . ( Douglas ) Buckley , Bethany R . Nelson ; Great Grandchildren : Lindsay ( Daniel ) McCullough , Tyler ( Taylor ) McCullough , Zoe Pappas , Emma Reed , Aidan Buckley , Phoebe Pappas , Dillon Reed , Chase Nelson ( Az .), Hanna Nelson , Mitchell Nelson , Sydney ( Jeffry ) Anderson , Logan Fry , Elliott and Lincoln Buckley ; Great-Great Grandchild : Brooks McCullough as well as many loving nieces and nephews .
Family and friends were received on Friday September 9 , 2022 , from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM where the funeral service for Bonnie began at 12:00 PM Noon . The service was officiated by Pastors Larry & Cindy Massie at The Miller Funeral Home , 636 Main St ., Coshocton , 43812 . Interment followed in Fairfield Cemetery , West Lafayette .

Donna Sue Clark , 85 , of Coshocton , passed away on Sunday , September 11 , 2022 . She was born in Coshocton on February 14 , 1937 to the late Waldo and Norma Clark .
Donna was a lifelong Catholic and was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church . She kept up with members of her graduating class over the years and was a cat lover .
Donna is survived by her friend Jean Darr and many cousins .
