There is much to celebrate in the library world during the fall . To kick things off , September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month . From taking virtual classes , to borrowing audiobooks , to streaming movies , the possibilities are endless with a library card . As always , your first library card is free . To replace a lost card , the cost is simply $ 1 .
E-cards , which grant access to the library ’ s digital resources , also are available and may be applied for at www . coshoctonlibrary . org / ecard for those not holding a full-access card .
National Read a Book Day was celebrated on Sept . 6 ( and also every day ). Sunday , Sept . 18 is National Read an eBook Day . Thousands of eBooks are available to borrow for free with

your library card from the Libby and Hoopla apps .
Thursday , Sept . 29 is National Coffee Day . Coffee Chat for Readers is held on the second Wednesday of every other month at the West Lafayette Branch Library . New and bestselling fiction books are featured , and hot coffee , tea and light refreshments are provided . The next Coffee Chat will be held Wednesday , Nov . 9 from 9-10 a . m . at the branch library . Registration is required .

National Friends of Libraries Week will be Oct . 16-22 . The Coshocton Friends of the Library is vital to the library as it helps promote literacy in the community and fund library programs through membership dues and proceeds from its bookstore and annual sale .
To celebrate Friends of Libraries Week , stop in the Books Galore Book Store , located in the basement of the Coshocton Public Library , thank someone you know who is a Friend of the Library or consider becoming a member yourself . Whether volunteering your time or simply paying the annual membership

dues , the Friends would be happy to have you as a member of the team .
In November bring a young relative to visit the library in celebration of National Picture Book Month and Family Literacy Month . Tuesday , Nov . 1 is National Authors ’ Day . Did you know the library has a local authors ’ section ? Tuesday , Nov . 8 is STEAM Day , a day for encouraging students exploring the fields of science , technology , engineering , art and math . A variety of STEAM resources , both print and digital , are available to borrow from the library .
November also is National Alzheimer ’ s Disease Awareness Month . The library recently added activity kits to the circulation collection for adults

who may be experiencing cognitive decline and / or the early stages of Alzheimer ’ s / dementia . Although the kits are designed with this demographic in mind , they are developed to accommodate all adults . Each kit includes activities to support brain function , memory recall and finemotor skills , along with supportive literature for
caretakers . The activity kits are available to borrow at the Coshocton Public Library .
Last but certainly not least , Friday , Nov . 18 is High-Five a Librarian Day . We encourage you to visit the library to do just that .
