Lauren Johnson will race this year for the fourth time . “ I wanted to because I enjoy running . It ’ s fun to run this race that brings a community together and also it ’ s something me and my husband like to do together . Also , I don ’ t feel guilty eating all of the Thanksgiving food that I will get to eat after .”
Wendy and Troy Jones are distance runners . “ Troy has completed 110
marathons , and I ’ ve just finished 100 but decided to do the Turkey Trot for the cool shirt , some fun with a co-worker and to preburn Thanksgiving calories .”

In today ’ s market it is important to take advantage of any and all opportunities to market cattle most desirable to the buyer . Beef quality assurance programs ensure beef and dairy cattle are maintained in a manner that will result in a safe and wholesome beef product for the consumer .
Wendy ’ s , Tyson Foods , Cargill and multiple auctions have announced requirements that cattle they buy be from Beef Quality Assurance certified farms . BQA certification is required of beef and dairy producers .
OSU Extension will hold a Beef Quality Assurance program on Monday , Nov . 18 at the County Services Building in room B100 from 6-7:30 p . m . There is no charge for the program but RSVP to the extension office at 740-622-2265 or kinzel . 40 @ osu . edu .

If you saw witches floating down the river on Saturday morning , Oct . 26 , you weren ’ t seeing things . A group decided to dress like witches and float the river from 751 in Orange to 93 .
