Richard Allan Medley , 62 , of Portsmouth , RI , passed away suddenly on Oct . 9 , 2020 . Richard was born in Coshocton , OH to Richard Medley and Mabel Lorine Medley . Richard was the husband of Caroline Medley of Portsmouth , RI .
Richard attended the United States Naval Academy , class of 1980 , as well as MIT for his Engineer ’ s Degree - EE . He went on to serve in the United States Navy . He was the Commanding Officer of the USS Providence 719 , and when he retired from the Navy , worked at the Naval Underwater Warfare Center for the last 16 years .
While he was a playful jokester and prankster from a young age , those who knew Richard best remember him as a giving person ( especially remembering your favorite food ) and a passionate storyteller . He loved movies and would often share his thoughts with a movie quote or trivia . He also loved computers and would play Lords of the Realm II forever if allowed .
Besides his wife Caroline Medley and mother Mabel Lorine Medley , he is survived by his daughter Cheryl Medley and her wife Jae Vick of Vermont , and his daughter Sarah

Benjamin G . Huff , 87 , of Coshocton , died on Oct . 21 , 2020 at Ohio Health Kobacker House in Columbus , Ohio .
He was born in Coshocton to the late Paul and Audrey ( Haines ) Huff . He was a graduate of Roscoe School Class of 1951 . He served in the Army in the Korean War as a track vehicle mechanic honorable discharged receiving the National Defense Service Medal , United Nations Korea Service Medal , Korean Service Medal and the General Service Medal .
Benjamin enjoyed traveling to truck and tractor

Jonathan ‘ Jon ’ S . Vargo

Jonathan “ Jon ” S . Vargo , originally from Coshocton , passed away unexpectedly on Saturday , Oct . 17 , 2020 . He is survived by his wife of 15 years , Amy Jo ( Burton ), his parents , James and Toni Vargo , brother William “ Bill ” ( Debbie ) Vargo , sister Laurie ( Kevin ) Hays , aunts Margaret “ Peggy ” and Jean , and many beloved nieces and nephews .
Jon was an Eagle Scout and graduated as valedictorian of Coshocton HS class of 1988 . He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Systems Technology from Southern Illinois University and a Master ’ s in Safety Sciences from Indiana University of Pennsylvania .
Jon ’ s proudest achievement is having served as a Sergeant in
friends who stopped by their truck to enjoy coffee and donuts after the pulls .
His pride and joy was in restoring his John Deere tractors and his 1969 Thunderbird . He was also very proud of his Ford truck

and greatly relieved when it was found in Fallsburg several weeks after being stolen from the church parking lot while he was attending church .
Benjamin was a member of the Roscoe United Methodist Church , the Bethlehem Grange , Coshocton County Pomona Grange , and the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union # 495 .
Benjamin is survived by his daughter , Audrey Faye Phillips ( Warsaw ) and son , Spenc Jones ( San Antonio , TX ); granddaughter , Katricia Phillips ( Columbus ); grandson , Kirby Phillips ( Gambier ); sister , Trische Danesi ( Coshocton ); nephews , Scott ( Vicki ) Thomas ( Fresno ) and Sam ( Jenni ) Huff ( Coshocton ); nieces , Dru Prater ( Warsaw ) and Susan ( Jon ) Match ( Warsaw ); as well as several great nieces
the United States Marine Corps as an Avionics Electronics Technician for KC-130 Aircraft . He served his country proudly until retiring in 2008 . After which Jon started a career in Occupational Health and Safety . Most recently he was employed at Dart Container in Leola , PA .
Funeral arrangements are being made by Snyder Funeral Home in Lancaster , PA with interment at Arlington National Cemetery . Memorial contributions may be made to The Gary Sinise Foundation or Wounded Warrior Project - www . woundedwarriorproject . org or www . garysinisefoundation . org .

Along with his parents , Benjamin is preceded in death by his sister Helen Thomas and brother David Huff along with brother-inlaws Anthony Danesi and Max Thomas .
Graveside services will be at the Prairie Chapel Cemetery on Saturday , Oct . 31 at 11 a . m . with Rev . Dale Sutton officiating . Military honors will be conducted by the Coshocton County Veterans Council Honor Guard .
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Roscoe United Methodist Church , Coshocton or Ohio Health Kobacker House , Columbus .
