McGraw learned life lessons from time at CHS

The Coshocton Football Alumni Association ’ s Just a Kid From Coshocton monthly feature this time is on Redskin standout Ryan McGraw .
McGraw graduated from CHS in 2001 , was First Team Eastern District , First Team ECOL , and Honorable Mention All Ohio in his career at Coshocton . A twoway standout at running back and defensive back McGraw finished his career with 44 catches , 767 yards receiving , eight career receiving touchdowns , and all highlighted by a seven catch and 129 yard performance against West Holmes in 2000 . To go along with his offensive accomplishments the two-year letterman finished his career with nine interceptions including three against Fairless in a playoff game .

in Coshocton , McGraw went on to Walsh University where he was a four-year starter at both cornerback and safety . McGraw earned a degree in Corporate Communications from Walsh in 2006 .
McGraw has many great memories from his time at Coshocton , including how much he cherished being on the team in 1999 and part of the celebration of 100 years of Coshocton Football . During that season not only was he overwhelmed with the community support , but the team won two playoff

The RHS Class of 1965 gathers

The Ridgewood class of 1965 held its 56 th class reunion on Sept . 25 , at Ridgewood Middle School with 31 classmates present and several guests . A social hour was enjoyed prior to the delicious catered meal served by Schumaker Farms .
The class was the first class to graduate from Ridgewood High School with a graduating class of 120 . Twenty six class members have passed away and a moment of reverence was observed prior to the meal and blessing given by Reta Grewell , chairwoman of the event . Other members of the committee included , Linda ( Thomas ) Miller , Yolanda ( Armbrust ) McCrea , Debbie ( Stahl ) Arden , Jean ( Hoffman )
Infield , Sharon ( Hawk ) Specht , Carol ( Hall ) Owens , and Cathy ( Frederick ) McCrea .
Favors of an inscribed backpack and beverage koozies were enjoyed as mementos of the occasion .

Following the meal , a tour of the West Lafayette Elementary and Ridgewood High School was enjoyed .
games before falling in the regional finals . McGraw reflected on his close bond with Coach Wade Lucas who encouraged him to continue to play the game when as an under classman he considered giving it up to concentrate on other sports and the life lessons good and bad that the game taught him which he still utilizes to this day . He feels that football teaches you to “ rely on others and to surround yourself with people who are like minded and goal oriented .”
McGraw puts these lessons from the game to use to this day . After spending time in the financial banking industry and as a Vice President of Christian Healthcare Ministries , he is currently the CEO of Ground Pro , a full service lawn maintenance , tree removal , snow removal , custom lawn installation company servicing , residential , commercial , and government clients .
McGraw is married to Allison ( Skelley ) formerly of Coshocton , and has three sons Dominic , Levi , and Cooper and

resides in Barberton . One of his favorite things to do when he isn ’ t working is to be a volunteer youth football coach and pass on some of the lessons that he learned being a Coshocton Redskin .

Donley earns garden award

OSU Extension and the Coshocton County Master Gardener Volunteers announced that Teresa Donley of Kimbolton was selected as one of five volunteers to receive the 2022 Outstanding Ohio Master Gardener Volunteer of the Year award . She received this recognition during the virtual Ohio Master Gardener Volunteer Awards Ceremony held on Oct . 14 .
Donley has served as a Coshocton County Master Gardener since 2004 and has volunteered more than 700 hours in helping to provide horticultural outreach to the Coshocton County community . Most recently , Donley spearheaded the Victory Garden seed giveaway in 2021 .
