Parent Teacher Conferences We had our fall Parent-Teacher Conferences take place on Wednesday , October 9 and Wednesday , October 16 from 2:30pm - 6:00pm . We had a great turnout of parents again this fall for our two nights . On October 16 , 2024 the school counselors presented to parents about graduation requirements that students must meet to receive their diploma .

River View High School

Opнing of School We have approximately 775 students enrolled at RVHS this school year in grades 7-12 . The school day at RVHS starts at 7:30am and the dismissal bell rings at 2:12pm . We look forward to working with all of our students and families this school year as we start year 2 of this configuration of a 7-12 building . Tuesday August 27th was the fi rst day for students in grades 7 , 8 , 9 . We had a great day with those students and gave them a great opportunity to start the year off on a great foot . Wednesday August 28th , was the first day of school for all students in grades 7-12 . Wednesday August 28th , RVHS hosted the annual Senior Sunrise Breakfast with over 35 seniors attending the breakfast and enjoying fellowship with their classmates to start their last year at RVHS .

Homecoming 2024

RVHS Homecoming football game took place on Friday , September 13 with Audrey Border being crowned homecoming queen and Ben Leasure homecoming king . The Homecoming dance was on Saturday , September 14 in the high school cafeteria with over 400 students attending the dance . This year ’ s theme was Saturday Night Fever .

High School Nation Event River View High School partnered with High School Nation to bring the Dunkin ’ Cruiser to RVHS on October 10 . Students and staff were given Dunkin ’ Donuts gift cards and sampled refreshers . In addition , students and staff played a variety of games or walked the track out at Don Rushing Stadium to get some physical activity and enjoy the beautiful day . Students also participated in a cheer session in the gym . The varsity cheer squad led cheers and tossed out t-shirts with the 9-12 students and the 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders did the same with 7th and 8th grade students . Fall sports teams and marching band members were recognized as well . It was a fantastic afternoon fi lled with school spirit and positive vibes . Thank you to High School Nation for helping coordinate this event !
