I am a financial analyst at Kraft Heinz in Coshocton , where I have been employed for the last 12 years . I am the organizational advisor for Ridgerunners 4-H Club , as well as a swine rep for Coshocton County Junior Fair .
I am a co-coordinator for the United Way campaign each year at Kraft Heinz , as well as serving as the team manager for our youngest son ’ s travel soccer team . Children are my passion . tremendous value in gaining unique perspectives from individuals all throughout the community including those who have school-age children , as well as those who do not . I also would work to help strengthen the ties amongst the board members themselves . Collaboration is key , and working together toward a common goal has never been more important than it is now .
How do you feel about mask and / or vaccine mandates in schools ?
I believe mask wearing must be looked at on a case-by-case basis ; however , I do not believe wearing a mask is the longterm solution . Regarding vaccines , I would not support a COVID-19 vaccine mandate . My belief is getting the vaccine is a personal choice and should be based on individuals and their specific circumstances . I do not believe the role of the school board is to make medical decisions for our children .
How would you improve communication with parents and / or help make them feel like their voices are being heard ?
I believe my financial background coupled with my demonstrated ability to lead and work as a team player would make me a valuable asset to the River View Board of Education . With me you will get a woman who is honest and unafraid to stand up for what is right and what is best for our children .

One of the top issues is the need for a strategic plan on where we go from here , and that certainly includes how we use our facilities given the age and conditions of fall some of our buildings . We need to learn the lessons of the pandemic and remote learning without abandoning the tried and true methods of teaching and learning in person . We also need to find innovative ways to achieve the mission of education , even with resource challenges .

First , I believe in local control of these decisions . Immunizations have been part of getting ready for school for decades ; however , a parent or guardian can decline immunizations in writing for medical , religious or reasons of conscience .
