Visitors to Lake Park this summer have no doubt noticed the new

playground located near the softball fields . In July 2022 the finishing touches of the playground were |
completed by adding a bronze plaque , designed by Dirk Beiter , husband of Wendell and Hilde |
Skelley ’ s granddaughter , Lindsay , and an American flag .
“ After attending our granddaughter ’ s softball games in the summer of 2021 , I realized the need for something for the softball players ’ younger brothers and sisters to do while the game was being played ,” Erich Skelley said . “ There was a small ,

dilapidated swing set at the ball diamonds but only room for about four kids at a time .
“ Our mother ( Hilde ) died on Nov . 30 , 2018 , and shortly thereafter , my brothers and sisters established the Wendell and Hilde Skelley Memorial Donor Advised Fund through the Coshocton Foundation . My sister
