Lady Redskins down W . Muskingum

The Coshocton Redskins volleyball team was defeated by Meadowbrook at home by the scores of 21-25 , 11-25 and 14-25 .

Offensively , Coshocton was led by Kindall Shaw with 11 kills while Hailey Helter added five . Jalynn West set up 21 assists .

On defense , Miyah Davis had 12 digs while Helter added 11 and Shaw dug up 10 Meadowbrook attacks .

At the service line , Ella Bible served 92 % with two aces .

In the JV contest , Coshocton was defeated in a three-set match by the scores of 19-25 , 25-23 and 17-25 .

Leading the way for Coshocton was Jaiden Arnold with 10 kills while Addy Gordon added five .

Alison Cox contributed three service aces and two kills for the Redskins .

On Oct . 5 the Coshocton Redskins volleyball team picked up a straight-sets conference win at home vs West Muskingum by the scores of 25-13 , 25-15 and 25-14 .

Jalynn West orchestrated a balanced Redskins attack by distributing 31 assists to her multiple offensive threats . Leading the way was Lindsay Bryant , who slammed home 14 kills , while Kindall Shaw , Hailey Helter and Belle Miller each added six and Ella Bible chipped in with four .

Defensively , Miyah Davis kept 15 West Muskingum attacks from hitting the floor to lead the ‘ Skins in digs . Shaw and Helter contributed with 12 apiece , and Miller added nine . Ella Bible served up four aces . In the JV contest , Coshocton was victorious over the Tornadoes by scores of 25-13 and 25-9 .

Addy Gordon led the offensive attack with eight kills while Jaiden Arnold had seven and Savanna Bartlett contributed five .

Gordon also led at the service line with two aces .

Ridgewood

Zimmer qualifies for state

Ridgewood ’ s Lexi Zimmer shot an 82 at the Eastern District Div . II Girls Tournament held Oct . 7 in Cambridge . She will now move on to the state tournament to be held Oct . 16-17 at the OSU Gray Course . Zimmer is the first girls golfer from Ridgewood to make it to the state tournament .

RHS volleyball falls to Tusky Valley Ridgewood lost to Tusky Valley by scores of 26-28 , 22-25 and 19-25 .

Stats were Madisyn Colvin , 11 kills , 10 digs , two blocks , three points and one ace ; Ella Matusik , 35 assists , one kill , one block , four points and one ace ; Paige Slusser , 10 kills , eight digs and two points ; Hannah Maust , five kills , two blocks , 10 digs , four points and one ace ; Karissa Gress , five kills , six digs , six points and two aces ; Ashley Green , two kills , three digs and two points ; Kelley Masloski , two kills , two points and one dig ; and Lindsay Griffith and Kaeylyn Robinson both had four digs each .

Ridgewood then lost to Claymont by scores of 17-25 , 25-21 , 16-25 , 25-16 and 11-15 .

The Lady Generals were led by Hannah Maust , 14 kills , seven digs , three blocks and six points ; Ella Matusik , 45 assists , five digs , four kills , two blocks , four points and two aces ; Madisyn Colvin , 13 kills , 21 digs , two blocks and four points ; Paige Slusser , 10 kills , 13 digs , two blocks and three points ; Karissa Gress , seven kills , three blocks , five digs , three points and three aces ; and Ashley Green , eight digs , 12 points and one ace .

RVHS competes at sectionals

River View ’ s boys golf team played in the Div . I sectional tournament on Oct . 5 at Cambridge Country Club .

The Black Bears came in sixth with a team score of 407 . Leading the way for them was Austin Bahmer , 91 ; Tyler Nicely , 95 ; Coen Bible , 101 ; and Thad Cox , 120 .
