Robert John “ Bob ” Chase , 95 , died Tuesday , Oct . 5 , 2021 , at Genesis Hospital in Zanesville .
He was born Oct . 28 , 1925 , in Coshocton to the late Clyde and Mabel ( Perrigo ) Chase . He was a 1943 graduate of Coshocton High School . After graduation he entered the U . S Navy where he served two years . He married R . Alene ( Courtright ) Chase on May 31 , 1946 , who preceded him in death on Feb . 1 , 2015 .
Bob dedicated his life to his faith , family and his community . He was a member of Warsaw United Methodist Church , where he served as a youth group leader , Sunday school teacher , and led music ministries . He completed four years at Ashland College , receiving a degree in education . He retired from Warsaw High School and the JVS where he served as a teacher , principal , guidance counselor and driver ’ s ed instructor . He was a former member and past president of the Warsaw Lions Club , and was active in their annual Minstrel Show .
Bob enjoyed hunting for Indian artifacts and local history , golfing at Hill Top Golf Course , as well traveling around the country with his wife , Alene . One of the many

joys of his life was spending time with his family , grandchildren and great-grandchildren . Bob and Alene ’ s favorite hang outs were the Coshocton Public Library and the Warsaw Pool Hall . Bob left an impact on everybody that he came in contact with .
He is survived by a daughter , Mary Chase- Carey of Zanesville ; four grandsons ; Matthew ( Katie ) Carey of Dresden , Nicholas ( LeeAnne ) Carey of Coshocton , Morgan ( Hannah ) Carey of Howard , and Michah “ MJ ” ( Cassandra ) Carey of Newark ; five greatgrandchildren ; Keegan , Zoee , Lana , Lincoln , and Hallie Carey ; a sister Betty Lillibridge ; and m a n y nieces and nephews .
In addition to his parents and wife , he was preceded in death by siblings Dorothy , Charles and Malcolm Chase , Lois Aaron

and Helen Kamban ; and a son-in-law , Mike Carey .
Funeral services will be held at 11 a . m . Friday , Oct . 15 , 2021 , at the Fischer Funeral Home in Warsaw , with Pastor Ron Davis officiating . Burial will follow in South Lawn Cemetery , with graveside military rites performed by the Coshocton Co . Joint Veterans Council Honor Guard . Visitation is from 4-7 p . m . on Thursday , Oct . 14 , at the funeral home , and also one hour prior to service time on Friday .

Roscoe UMC to host holiday bazaar Oct . 28

Roscoe UMC , 475 High St ., Coshocton , will hold its annual holiday bazaar on Thursday , Oct . 28 . The doors will open at 8:30 a . m . for a breakfast boutique . Lunch will be served from 10 a . m . to 2 p . m . Supper will
be from 4 p . m . until the food is gone .
Some of the highlights of the day include a used bookstore , bake sale , themed gift baskets , a treasure chest of gently used items , grave saddles , lunch and supper in the fellowship hall , holiday items and more .

Tommy R . Jones , 86 , of Coshocton passed away at Community Hospice Truman House in New Philadelphia on Tuesday , Oct . 5 , 2021 .
Tommy was born in Columbus , Ohio to Ralph and Ellen M . ( Rodgers ) Jones on April 3 , 1935 .
He served in United States Marine Corps and retired from Stone Container in Coshocton after 34 years . Tommy was also a member of the Coshocton Church of the Nazarene .
Tommy is survived by his children Jay Jeffrey ( Barbara ) Jones of Carroll , OH , Linda ( Greg ) Bender of N . Lawrence , OH , Teresa ( Rick ) Holder of West Lafayette and Traci Jones of Westerville ; five grandchildren Jonathan ( Christina ) Jones , Jeremy ( Ian ) Jones , Justin Bender , Jenna ( Ty ) Colucci and Ashleigh ( Chris ) Snyder ; three great grandchildren Jayla Bender , Jaxon Bender and Maci Snyder .

Jones who he married October 5 , 1957 , they were married 64 years , Tommy went home to be with her on their anniversary , Shirley passed away on March 19 , 2020 ; one brother Jerry Jones ; two sisters Dorothy A .
