Fink reflects on her time as the canal princess

During my reign as Coshocton canal court princess , I have learned to expect the unexpected . For example , I thought I would be princess for just one year , but it turned into two years . It was definitely a memorable experience . Christmas 2019 season was special because of riding with our whole court for the local Coshocton Christmas Parade . That parade was followed by many other holiday events and travels during the Christmas season .
Before the pandemic shut Ohio down , I was honored to represent Coshocton County and Roscoe at the AAA Travelers Expo . Christmas 2020 will forever be remembered as the time I went to Cambridge

with queen Lynsey for our first-ever Reverse Parade . Things were much slower for most of 2020 , but I still had fun with junior queen attendant Jordan Stickdorn when we participated in a scavenger hunt around Roscoe Village .
I was so excited when
I found out in 2020 that I would continue my reign into October 2021 . This spring and summer , festivals started to come back . I enjoyed traveling to many around Ohio , some of which I had not attended previous years on the canal court . I loved spending time with the 2019 Swiss queen Maddy Meiser at luncheons . Maddy was my queen during my junior queen reign .
Locally , a few of us from canal court attended a Canal Town Family Fun Day in Roscoe Village . I even brought my friend Emily Truex along for the event . We had a great time learning how people used to hunt and make jewelry and even stopped as a group into the pottery store .

Hello everyone . I ’ m your current reigning Coshocton canal queen , Lynsey Stonebraker , and I am honored to have been able to serve Coshocton County and Roscoe Village , representing the Roscoe Village Apple Butter Stirrin ’ Festival .
When I was crowned , I was so relieved my hard work had paid off and my dream had come true . My journey started in 2006 as the Coshocton Canal Days Festival mini queen . I have served on the court for six years , holding different titles including Coshocton canal princess in 2015 . Nothing could compare to holding the same title as the amazing young women who came before me . I look up to these women , and I am honored to stand today where they once stood .
I would especially like to thank Canal Days queen Colleen Gay Kirker for being the first queen crowned and for paving the way . I have traveled to over 75 festivals and events around Ohio and have made countless friends and memories over my two years as queen . One of my favorite experiences has been working this summer to build our court a parade float . Our court has not had a float of our own to travel with , but I am proud I could provide my court and future courts with the opportunity to travel around Ohio together .
The float debuted at the West Lafayette Homecoming Parade . It was so much fun to ride with so many of us together . Some other favorite memories were meeting three festival queens who will be my forever friends .
Never underestimate the small things like asking , “ Can I sit with you ?” or saying , “ Hi , my name is ... ” These phrases led

West Lafayette ’ s homecoming will be special forever because it was the first time with the Coshocton canal float that queen Lynsey made . All of us girls love it .
There are some special people I need to thank . First , the Coshocton canal court committee for continuing this

Aly Barnhart , thank you for driving me in the Frazeysburg Homecoming Parade . A big thank you to queen Lynsey Stonebraker and her mother , Amy Stonebraker . Last but not least , my family for everything they do .
I will forever cherish my time as Coshocton canal court princess . I look forward to the future . Brianna Fink Coshocton canal court princess
