Letter to the Editor :

We have been so , so blessed in the U . S . to have a government formed of the people , by the people and for the people . Our country was formed with the prevailing thought that government was to be the servant of the people . Our government , as framed by our Constitution , protects personal freedoms . Both of these ideas were unique at the time of their conception . It is not perfect , as it was formed and is executed by imperfect humans . But our Constitution is very good and allows for continual striving for perfection , to be better .

In 2008 then candidate Obama stated he wanted to see America fundamentally transformed . I believe he was voicing what the leadership of the Progressive movement wanted for many , many years . While you may think that was not a significant statement , I believe it was a declaration that the method of how our country conducted the governing of its people and more specifically how our laws are implemented and modified needs to be radically changed in the opinion of some .

Constitutional amendments just do not seem to be effective and expedient enough for Progressives to get to what they want . And Progressives do not belong to just one party , so my view is not of a partisan nature . That said , it is undeniable that the current Democratic leadership embraces the tearing down of our constitutional government . They are on record promising to pack the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeals solely for the purpose to tilt all of the courts to a liberal , even leftist bias on all issues .

This will result in a court system very similar to the People ’ s Court in the Third Reich . The current Democratic leadership is planning to pack the Senate and the House of Representatives by giving Washington , D . C . and Puerto Rico state status , knowing that this will make it much easier to gain control of both the House and the Senate . I have attached a YouTube file . Once the Democrats have control of all three branches , especially since the court system will now comply with their every desire , we will have been relegated to a one-party system in this country . Ask the people of the former Soviet Union how they liked that . I think one can see the danger of this regardless of party affiliation .

In the beginning , if you disagree with the party , you will simply be ignored . Then if you attempt to speak out for change on an issue you hold a view different than the party ’ s , you will be silenced : first incarcerated , then finally executed . I know some are saying , “ Are you serious ?” It has happened before — in Nazi Germany and in every communist regime . The old cliché , “ Absolute power corrupts absolutely ,” is a cliché for a reason . It is true of the human race .

I have had discussions with family and friends in recent weeks and discovered some of them are not aware of what the Democratic leadership is planning . They don ’ t know Sixth Street in Austin , Texas is boarded up and the walkway along the river is now occupied by drug users and the destitute and the stench can be smelled from the street above . I mention Austin because some of my family recently lived there and are familiar how vibrant this area of Austin use to be .

Check it out for yourself . Don ’ t take my word for it . One more city being torched by anarchists all for the cause of radically changing this country . I discovered some of my family does not know people simply trying to have dinner out in a public restaurant are being confronted by thugs coming inside of what all would consider an individual ’ s personal space and even taking drinks and food from these people to intimidate . That is assault and theft . It is the action of 1939 German Nazis . It is an act of hate the Democrats in their platform stated they will not tolerate , yet Democratic mayors in the cities where this is happening have instructed the police to stand down and let these sort of activities go on .

I discovered some of my family and friends do not know who George Soros is and how he is spending billions of dollars to see America torn down . This is why I must speak , to raise awareness of issues as severe as these that are happening across our country . And if you were not aware before , because you are reading this , you now know some of the things that are happening to radically change our country . Hopefully you will take time to find out more of the Progressive agenda for yourself .

Let ’ s all stop , pause and consider where we as a country find ourselves . Let ’ s take emotions out of the decisions we are about to make at the ballot box and instead use our intellect and use our due diligence to discover the facts before casting our vote . I truly believe the existence of our country as a democratic republic is hanging in the balance and the results of this election will determine if we keep the precious freedoms we have or whether we burn it down as the Progressives are calling for , never to regain what we now have .

I have had the opportunity to talk to people that served in WWI and WWII and hear them express how precious and special is the United States . America is not perfect , but she is a land with freedom and opportunities like no other on earth . Many have given the ultimate sacrifice to keep the American experiment alive . To see us throw away what so many families have sacrificed in the loss of their loved ones would be so tragic . America is worth saving , to be improved upon for sure , but not burned down .
