The 17th annual CHS Thanksgiving community dinner will be held this year with drive-thru service only .

The 17th annual CHS Thanksgiving community dinner will be held with drive-thru service only on Wednesday , Nov . 18 from 5-6:30 p . m . Usually , the dinner is held in the cafeteria with performances from the band and choirs and many athletes and other clubs helping to serve .

“ I wish it didn ’ t have to be this way ,” said Cathy Waibel , organizer of the event . “ But I ’ m so glad we are able to do it . People really like coming and visiting with others while they enjoy their meal . And the students really enjoy helping out and talking to everyone . We just can ’ t do it this

Anyone who would like to pick up a meal should call Coshocton High School at 740-622-9433 . Leave your name , what time you would like to pick up your meals and how many dinners you want ( limit of six ). The meals will be prepared , packaged and ready when people arrive .

When picking up meals , drive up to the fourth-floor entrance and a school principal will load your food into your car . People are asked to not leave their vehicles .

“ Hopefully , next year we can sit and visit together again ,” Waibel said .
