Richcreek ’ s Hardware on Main Street gets a facelift

If you travel down Main Street , you might notice Richcreek ’ s Hardware has had some work done on the front of the building .
According to owner Spence Richcreek , the front had some water damage and needed an update . The store has been in business for 51 years . Presently , the store has a new and updated front exterior . After the awning gets put on , the Richcreek ’ s Hardware sign will be hung on the storefront window and the update will be complete .
No work has been done to the inside of the store , though , and according to Richcreek , he does not have plans to do anything to the interior . Similarly , the store hours remain the same from 8:30 a . m . to 5:30 p . m . Monday through Friday and 8:30 a . m . to 1 p . m . on Saturdays . However , the phone number has changed . The new number for Richcreek ’ s Hardware is 740-334-2261 .
Inside the store , customers will find light bulbs , tools , plumbing supplies and other hardware items . In addition , Richcreek ’ s has a variety of knives , shotguns and many collectible items . Some of the collectibles include belt buckles , coins and classic Coca-Cola bottles with the original soda still in the bottle .
The section of Christmas items such as ornaments , light bulbs , placemats and stockings may cause one to become nostalgic for Christmases from long ago . While Richcreek ’ s does not carry all of the items it used to , it still has a variety of items to choose from .
“ I just would like to thank everyone for the business , and I want people to know I plan to be here as long as I can ,” Richcreek said .
Virtual car-seat class is now being organized
A Coshocton County virtual car-seat class is being organized .
Participants must reside in Coshocton County ; have custody of a child from birth to age 8 or expect a child prior to Nov . 30 ; be income eligible within WIC guidelines , although one does not need to be enrolled in WIC ; have access to a laptop , tablet or smart phone with internet ; and have ability to pick up a car seat at the Coshocton County Services Building , 724 S . Seventh St ., Coshocton .
To register to attend the Ohio Buckles Buckeyes Virtual Class , call 740-295-7314 and leave name , phone number , and child ’ s age , height and weight .
Car seats provided are the Evenflo - Titan Sure- Ride 65 Pounds Convertible Car Seat or the Evenflo - Big Kid Highback Booster Car Seat .
