Given-Dawson-Paisley welcomes new employees

Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home would like to introduce Ann Leppla and Danielle Finlay as two of its newest funeral assistants .
Leppla was born and raised in Coshocton and graduated from Coshocton High School in 1969 and the Ohio State University in 1974 . She taught middle school and high school science for 30 years at Coshocton High School .
Now retired , Leppla enjoys line dancing with the SilverLiners , Community Choir and sports , especially the Coshocton Redskins and the Ohio State Buckeyes . She has been married to John Leppla for 46 years . They have one son , Matt , who also resides in Coshocton . She loves Coshocton and is very proud of her hometown .
Finlay currently works at Mid-Ohio Behavioral Health as a psychological assistant in Coshocton . Before that , she

devoted many of her years to education and healthcare within the Coshocton community .
Finlay graduated in 2005 from Ridgewood High School , then graduated with a business degree from Ohio University and then graduated from Walden University with a master ’ s in psychology . She enjoys spending as much time as she can with her three children and likes to escape to Florida .
Finlay also enjoys anything tropical including hot weather . She has a strong passion for childhood cancer research and congenital heart defect research .

Schlabach Wood Design announces expansion

Schlabach Wood Design , a custom cabinet and furnishings manufacturer , announced plans to invest $ 3.8 million to expand operations of the company ’ s kitchen and bathroom product lines to meet increased customer demand . The investment will eventually result in the creation of 57 new jobs in Coshocton County .
President Willis Schlabach said , “ We are very appreciative of the support of JobsOhio , Ohio Southeast Economic Development , the Coshocton County Port Authority , the Coshocton County commissioners and Crawford Township in providing their expertise and a financial grant to make this expansion project a reality .”
The project will include the purchase of additional acreage , construction of new manufacturing space and acquisition of machinery and equipment .
“ Sales for our custommade hardwoods cabinets
for home and office have tripled over the past eight years through our national network of dealers as demand for quality hardwoods cabinets has increased ,” Schlabach said . “ As the company has grown , we have been blessed to add co-workers into the business who share our passion for hard work and attention to detail that is inherent in the craftsmanship of our products .”
OhioSE and JobsOhio worked closely with Schlabach Wood Design and local partners on the project , which is being supported with a $ 200,000 JobsOhio Grant that will assist with construction and the purchase of new equipment .
“ We love to see our local manufacturers grow their capacity and impact ,” said Mike Jacoby , OhioSE president . “ We are grateful to JobsOhio for their investment in Schlabach Wood Design and the Southeast
Ohio region , setting them up for long-term success in Coshocton County .”
“ On behalf of Coshocton County , I want to thank Schlabach Wood Design for moving forward with this significant investment ,” said Tiffany Swigert , executive director of the Coshocton County Port Authority . “ We are thrilled by the announcement and see the investment as a true testament to the quality products made by craftsmen in our county .”
Swigert said the investment will bring job opportunities . “ The Schlabach family ’ s commitment will bring additional employment opportunities to our county , and these new workers will join an environment rich in creativity , passion and dedication to producing the best cabinetry available . The port authority was proud to be part of the team that worked together to assist the company with its growth plans .”
