CCYL focuses on Coshocton history facts

On Wednesday , Oct . 20 , the Coshocton County Youth Leadership Class of 2022 got to learn history about Coshocton County .
The youth leadership class was joined by the Coshocton County Leadership adult class . The two groups merged and broke up into four groups of teens and adults . The four groups went around to various activities . The first activity was visiting the upstairs of the visitor ’ s center at Roscoe Village . The groups watched an informational video about some history of the canal . They also went to the blacksmith , where they got to ask questions and watch him work metal into an S-hook .
The next activity was watching a more in-depth video about Coshocton County , narrated by Ken Smailes and created by Hasseman Marketing with financial support provided by the Coshocton Foundation . It included various landmarks and

The third activity consisted of “ Jeopardy ! Coshocton County Edition ,” where the groups competed against each other . The last activity was touring the Johnson- Humrickhouse Museum , where the groups got to learn about some of the artifacts from Coshocton ’ s past . After all groups rotated through those sessions , they all met back up at the visitor ’ s center for lunch provided by Medbery Market .
