Culinary arts students from the Coshocton County Career Center earned multiple awards this year during the 2021 Coshocton County Fair in a baking competition against fellow classmates .

Receiving awards were junior Marissa Moore , first place ; junior Ben Rausch , second place ; junior Anthony Maynard , third place ; senior Gaberial Culver , first place ; senior Sara McConnell , second place ; and senior Cheyenne Hood , third place .

‘ Hometown Christmas ’ is the theme for parade

With last year ’ s parade being canceled , the excitement is already building for Our Town Coshocton ’ s holiday parade , which will be Friday , Nov . 19 at 5:30 p . m . at the fairgrounds .
“ Our Town Coshocton has extended the deadline to register for the parade to Friday , Nov . 12 . The easiest way to register is by visiting our newly revamped website at www . ourtowncoshocton . org ,” OTC executive director Lanny Spaulding said .
Both vendors and groups that want to participate in the parade can register there . All OTC events will be on their website , and Spaulding encourages everyone to check the site often .
The theme for this year ’ s parade is “ Hometown Christmas .”
“ Parade line-up begins at 4:30 p . m . at the fairgrounds , and participants will enter through the Eighth Street gate . Please come early as lineup will be determined on a first come , first serve basis ,” Spaulding said . “ We look forward to seeing everyone come together this year at this festive outdoor event .”
There also will be a vendor ’ s market downtown on that day . Vendors may begin to set up at 10:30 a . m . and are asked to tear down by 8 p . m . The Coshocton Public Library also will host a holiday open house from 4-6 p . m . Refreshments , make and take crafts , and a visit from Rudolph are just a few of the things planned for families .
“ We wish everyone a safe and wonderful evening in Coshocton ’ s Historic District ,” Spaulding said .

Musical revue will be held at Clary Gardens ’ pavilion

Rogue Elephant Productions will present “ All Together Now ” at the new Clary Gardens pavilion on Saturday , Nov . 13 at 7 p . m . and Sunday , Nov . 14 at 1 p . m . Ticket prices also include a meal catered by Shumaker Farms .
Producer Mark Kittel said Music Theater International put together this show , and it will be presented all over the world on that weekend . “ The selection of songs is from different musicals , and all have the theme of rebuilding or community . It was put together as a way for local community theaters to start to rebuild after the pandemic . They did a good job of selecting music with children included .”
Amy Jo Burton is the music director . Kittel said the production has about 15 performers ( adults and children ).
