Beverly Joan Palmer , age 86 , of Coshocton and Houston , TX , passed away on November 15 , 2023 . She was born on March 15 , 1937 , in Connecticut , to the late William and Edith Milbrandt .
Beverly is survived by her two children , Karen Simpson and Randall Palmer ; her six grandchildren , Eve , Sarah , Heather , Danny , Alexandra , and Suzie ; and her six greatgrandchildren . She is predeceased by her husband , Richard Palmer .
Throughout Beverly ’ s adult life , she was a talented interior designer , owning her own interior design company in Houston , TX . She was also involved in many prestigious organizations , including Coshocton Junior Woman ’ s , the Junior League of Houston and Dallas , TX , and the Arthritis Association in Houston , TX . Beverly enjoyed doing anything creative and was gifted in painting , cooking , and decorating . Religion played a big part in Beverly ’ s life ; she was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Newark , OH , before she passed away .
On June 19 , 1955 , she married Richard Palmer at the age of 19 after meeting him at church . On January 5 , 1956 , and January 14 , 1960 , she welcomed her two amazing children , who were the most

important part of her life .
Beverly was a devoted wife , mother , grandmother , and great-grandmother ; she would do anything for her family . Beverly was an avid traveler , traveling to 50 + countries and living in multiple cities all over the world , including Saudi Arabia . Beverly was great at conversing about anything with anybody , and she could always light up a room . She will be deeply missed by friends , family , and all who knew her .
All services will be held in Houston , TX . Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home is serving the family .

John Guy Powell , age 90 , of West Lafayette , passed away on Thursday , November 16 , 2023 , at his home surrounded by his family . He was born on December 23 , 1932 , in Carrolton , Ohio to the late Lewis D . and Jessie ( Reed ) Powell . He was a United States Army National Guard Veteran and then entered into the work force at General Electric . Over the 36 years , he worked his way up to foreman prior to his retirement . On June 26 , 1953 , he married Janet ( Sherrick ) Powell and they celebrated 70 years together . Growing up they traveled near and far , taking their 6 kids over the US on camping trips . For most of his life he was an avid rabbit and squirrel hunter . He was known for
Rachel Garber , age 89 , of Coshocton , passed away peacefully on Monday , November 20 , 2023 . She was born on October 29 , 1934 , to the late Donis and Mary Louise ( Schott ) Foster .
On December 9 , 1967 , Rachel married Kenneth Garber who survives . She was a member of Prairie Chapel Methodist Church and was involved with many church activities including , being the

church Treasurer , the church Financial Secretary , singing in the church choir , and helping with the Bereavement Committee . She enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and reading both biographies and autobiographies .

his love of Beagle dogs and had a special dog , Penny and cat , Smokey . He enjoyed bowling and achieved a perfect 300 game . He spent time with his many grandchildren and was happy to take them on tractor wagon rides over the farm in Fresno . He enjoyed golfing as well and loved to take his granddaughter Rachel with him to make memories .
Along with his wife , he is survived by his children , Lewis ( Suzanne ) Powell of West Lafayette , Patricia ( Kenny ) Brown of Dresden , John Michael ( Kathy ) Powell of Coshocton , David Powell of West Lafayette , Sandy ( Bob ) Lee of Mogadore and Jamie Powell of Massillon ; 21 grandchildren , 50 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren with one to arrive in January ; siblings , Jim ( Kaye ) Powell of Sebring , Fl . and
Louissa ( Marc ) Geese of Fresno .
He is preceded in death by his parents , grandchildren , Karalee Powell and Krista Powell and siblings , Donald Powell , Charles Powell , Thelma Rosalie Cochran Goss and Evangeline Guthrie Zimmerman .
Calling hours were held at The Miller Funeral Home on Monday , November 20 , 2023 from 4pm to 6pm . A memorial service began at 6pm at the funeral home with Pastor Chris Cutshall officiating .
In lieu of flowers , contributions can be made to the Animal Shelter or Interim Hospice .

Calling hours were held on Saturday , November 25 , 2023 , from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home . Funeral Services followed at the Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with Pastor Matt Wilson and Pastor Dale Parrish officiating . Burial was held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens .
