Clary Gardens celebrated World Kindness Day
By Marianne Austin
Clary Gardens celebrated World Kindness Day on Nov . 13 in its pavilion with activities intended to encourage kindness and love in the community .
World Kindness Day started after the formation of the World Kindness Movement . It was their hope and goal to create a day that would help to raise awareness of the importance of kindness as a unifying power between people everywhere . Suggested activities include doing at least three acts of kindness , giving extra-long hugs , doing things for others and remembering kindness is important .
Dawn Adams from ABC Yoga offered free yoga , and Melissa Leist from Crow- Chakra Mind , Body and Spirit Boutique provided metta meditation to promote inner peace and kindness within . Both sessions were appropriate for anyone at whatever their capability level .
