COTC hosts application event in Coshocton
Central Ohio Technical College will host an application event to help students submit the free COTC application for admission and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid on Wednesday , Nov . 9 from 4 – 7 p . m . at the Coshocton campus . Students and their family members are welcome to drop in at any time during the three-hour event .
COTC admissions representatives and student financial services representatives will be available to assist students as they complete their admission application and FAFSA in the Coshocton campus computer lab . In addition , a financial aid information session will be offered at 4 p . m ., 5 p . m . and 6 p . m .

Free college program available for Coshocton County residents
Coshocton County residents may attend COTC for free . The COTC Promise guarantees to fund the gap between tuition ( instructional and general fees ) and remaining student need after all other private scholarships and institutional ,

The COTC Promise program is open to new , current or returning COTC students who do not already hold a bachelor ’ s or associate degree and can be used for classes at any COTC campus . Degrees and certificates at the Coshocton campus
COTC offers some career-ready associate degrees and certificates and transfer associate degrees in full at the Coshocton campus through a combination of in-person and remote learning . Programs are offered in a variety of subject areas including engineering technology , healthcare and social work . Start dates vary by program . See go . cotc . edu / coshocton for more information .

“ The students get to give back to the community . They enjoy talking to people , and it does them good too ,” Waibel said .
Waibel said no school money is used for the meal .

The COTC admission application is due one week prior to the first day of classes . New classes begin five times per year : spring semester on Jan . 9 , spring semester second term on March 6 , summer semester on May 15 , autumn semester on Aug . 23 and autumn semester second term on Oct . 16 .
Everything is donated , or donated money is used to purchase what is needed .
There will be no takeout this year . Everyone needs to enter the high school through the fourthfloor doors near the cafeteria and sign in .
“ This is just a way for the high school to give back to the community for all of the support they get all year ,” Waibel said .
The meal is a sit-down meal , and serving will begin at 5:30 p . m . The meal is free , but attendees must make reservations by calling the high school at 740- 622-9433 and giving their name and how many will be in their group . Meals will be served until 7 p . m .
