WTNS 50 + Expo offers information and treats

A variety of information and treats were available at the WTNS 50 + Expo . The 28th annual event was held Nov . 20 at the Coshocton County Community Room .
“ It gets people to engage with different merchants ,” said Bruce Wallace , owner of WTNS .
One of the many vendors was Coshocton Regional Medical Center . Kristen Williams , who works in CRMC clinics , said they were doing free blood pressure and glucose checks and offering flu and COVID vaccines .
“ This is a good way for us to help out the community ,” she said .
Several nursing homes , rehabilitation and senior living facilities were represented at the expo .

Get Ready For the

Paula Miller , who does community relations for Walnut Hills , shared information about their holiday event . Their Winter Wonderland Drive-Through Light Show will take place from Dec . 10 to Jan . 4 from 5:30-10 p . m . on the Walnut Hills campus .
“ It ’ s a free event for the community , and this year it is going to have a lot more lights , color and animation ,” Miller said .
Walnut Hills is located at 4748 Olde Pump St . in Walnut Creek .
“ A lot of folks go to Amish Country to shop and eat , so we wanted to come let them know about our services ,” Miller said . “ We have several levels of care to offer .”
In addition to information from the vendors , attendees were treated to a sundae bar provided by Whit ’ s Frozen Custard

“ We want to give people an opportunity to get out and get information and ask questions ,” Chris Wallace from WTNS said . “ We have everyone here , from insurance companies to Coshocton Public Transit sharing how people can get free rides . There is just a little bit of everything and our way of giving back to the community .”
Jackie Watts was one of many people who attended the expo .
“ We always come ,” she said . “ You get good information .”

Historical society plans festival of trees

The eighth annual Walhonding Valley Historical Society Festival of Trees will be held three weekends in December .
The first opportunity to view the trees will be after the Warsaw Holiday Parade , which will start at 6 p . m . on Sunday , Dec . 1 . Other dates for the festival will be Saturday and Sunday , Dec . 7-8 and 14-15 . Each day the festival will be open from 1-4 p . m .
The trees will be in the Walhonding Valley Historical Society ’ s museum on Main Street in Warsaw . It is free to view the trees , but donations

Beth Nelson said last year 24 trees were on display , and they expect around that number this year .
