WEST LAFAYETTE - Kenneth
Robert Grier, 89, of West
Lafayette, passed away on
Monday, Nov. 18, 2019, at
his home with family by his
side.
He was born on Aug. 26,
1930 in Columbus to the
late Kenneth F. and Sara
Katherine (Kestler) Grier.
Kenny was a graduate
of Sacred Heart Catholic
School. He then joined the
Army National Guard in
Grier
1951 and served until 1953.
Kenny worked at Buckeye
Clothing Company as the manager for several years, was
a salesman for Nabisco, Fairmont Foods and was a two
term mayor in Coshocton. Kenny then retired from the

Kenneth Anderson,77,
of Dresden passed away

2019. He was born in Co-
shocton on April 14, 1942
to the late Kenneth and
Ruth (Graham) Anderson.
Joe graduated from
Union High School and
served in the United States
National Guard. He has
been a farmer his whole
life and was fortunate
Anderson
enough to live a life doing
what he loved while sur-
rounded by those closest. He also enjoyed traveling,
fishing, hunting, canoeing, and watching tractor pulls.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen (Porteus) Anderson,
Bureau of Motor Vehicles as
deputy registrar.
Kenny was a member of
Sacred Heart Church, a for-
mer member of the 4th De-
gree Knights of Columbus,
loved singing and playing
the drums and was known
as the “King of Karaoke”
in Naples, Fla.; collecting
postcards and spending
time with his family.
He is survived by his wife
of 68 years, Patricia (Mor-
rison) Grier, nine children,
Lynn (Bill) Mayberry of Howard, Tom (Sandy) Grier of
Coshocton, Karen Hooper of Naples, Fla., Mark (Kim)
Grier of Warsaw, Marianne (Glenn) Yoder of Williams-
burg, Va., Kevin Grier of Coshocton, Amy (Daryl) Berry
whom he married August 20, 1967; children Joellen
(Adam) Lucas of Charleston, WV and Timothy (Beth)
Anderson of Frazeysburg; grandchildren Wyatt, Walk-
er, and Annalee Lucas and Emma, Noah, Wesley, and
Carson Anderson; brothers Eugene (Donna) Anderson
and Fred (Pat Campbell) Anderson; and several nieces
and nephews.
Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his
sister-in-law Nancy Anderson.
Friends called at the Coshocton Christian Taberna-
cle Church, 23891 Airport Rd, Coshocton, OH 43812 on
Thursday, November 21, 2019 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm
and one hour prior to the funeral service. Funeral
services for Joe were held on Friday at 11:00am with
Pastor Sonny Easterday and Mike Jansen officiating.
Burial followed at Frazeysburg Cemetery. The Miller
Funeral Home is serving the family. An online memo-

Brian (Serenna) Grier of Coshocton; daughter-in-law, Liz
Grier of Jefferson; 28 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchil-
dren; and brother-in-law, Dal Donovan of Coshocton.
Along with his parents, Kenny is preceded in death by
his son Jeff Grier; grandson, Jared Grier; four brothers;
and one sister.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Nov.
29, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church
with Father Blubaugh officiating. Burial will follow at
South Lawn Cemetery with the Coshocton County Veter-
ans Council Honor Guard preforming military honors.

Judges were BPW member Rachel Courtney; Jennie
Bordenkircher, who has worked for the State of Ohio for
27 years; and Juliet Lacy, assistant for admin/finance
and communication specialist for the Coshocton Foun-
dation.
The Coshocton BPW Christmas Party will be on Dec.
16, 6 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church. The Nike
Club from River View High School has been invited to
attend.
BPW, founded 100 years ago in 1919, promotes equi-
ty for all women in the workplace through advocacy,
education and information. BPW is the leading advocate
for millions of working women on work-life balance and
workplace equity issues. Membership is open to men
