Christmas Magic in Lights is back at the fairgrounds
Last year the Christmas Magic in Lights event was very popular , and a group was formed to make it an annual event .
D Woodward Wells said this year ’ s event will be held Friday and Saturday , Dec . 3-4 from 6-9 p . m . each night . It will be at the Coshocton County Fairgrounds again , and they are looking for people who may want to set up a display .
“ Businesses , clubs , organizations and families are encouraged to join us in setting up lights for all to enjoy . Please preregister so we make sure we have a big enough spot for you . Visit our Christmas Magic in Lights Facebook page for the registration form ,”

The cost is by donation per car . Last year the money raised went to the
Firefighter ’ s Toy Chest . This year the money will be split between Gentle Brook Home Health Services , The Fatherhood Initiative and the Coshocton Firefighter ’ s Association .
Main Street set to be dressed up with coats
The Coshocton Opportunity School ’ s second annual Dress Up Main Street project will be held Monday , Dec . 13 at 3 p . m .
Students will hang coats , hats , gloves and socks from the trees on Main Street in downtown . Citizens in need may take a coat or other items from a tree beginning at 4:30 p . m .
Clean , gently used or new items can be dropped
off on the fourth-floor parking level at Coshocton High School Monday and Tuesday , Dec . 6-7 from 3-6 p . m .

The Coshocton Christian Tabernacle will have a live nativity Friday through Sunday , Dec . 3-5 from 6:30-8:30 p . m .
In its 23rd year , the free event has become a holiday tradition .
Luminaries light the way as visitors drive through the live scenes depicting the birth of Christ and other wellknown events of his life . This 10-minute journey begins at the market place in Bethlehem , where the dreaded tax collector awaits , and the inn that is full for the evening leads to the stable where Joseph , Mary and baby Jesus find rest . Angels tell the shepherds guarding their sheep of the good news of Jesus ’ birth while the Wise Men worship the newborn Christ child . The journey is completed with scenes of the most told stories about Jesus : the carpenter ’ s shop , Jesus walking on water , a soldier praying at the cross and Jesus at the tomb .
More than one hundred church members donate time , talent , animals and costumes to bring the gift of the Christmas story alive to the community . Guests are encouraged to drive through more than once . Videotaping and photos are allowed , keeping in mind the flow of traffic must be maintained .
