Festival of trees is coming to museum on Main in Warsaw

The sixth annual festival of trees at the Walhonding Valley Historical Society Museum on Main Street in Warsaw will be open to the public on Saturdays , Dec . 2 and 9 from 6-8 p . m . and Sundays , Dec . 3 and 10 from 1-4 p . m . You also can catch the display after the parade and ceremony on Sunday , Nov . 26 in Warsaw .
The museum ’ s display features 28 Christmas trees decorated by businesses , organizations and River View students .
“ I enjoy seeing what people come up with ,” said Bee Lehner , co-chair of the festival . “ I also enjoy helping to decorate and fluff the trees .”
The festival is free to the public , but donations to the museum are welcome .
“ It ’ s a way to get people in and the museum seen by the public ,” Lehner said .
Brenda Davis , the other co-chair of the festival , was happy to hear children from River View Elementary were going to come down and walk through the museum and see the trees .
“ I like seeing the community get excited and come in the museum ,” she said .
The village of Warsaw will kick off the holiday season on Sunday , Nov . 26 . The holiday parade will start at 6 p . m ., and interested participants need to line up at 5:45 p . m . at River View Community Park .

Career center students receive honors

The Coshocton County Career Center and its board of education recognized students for the first nine weeks .
Recognized students were awarded a certificate for their career-tech and academic accomplishments and a gift certificate from Papa John ’ s Pizza .
