Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum will host Rachel Yoder , author of “ Nightbitch ” ( Doubleday , 2021 ), now a major motion picture starring Amy Adams , on Wednesday , Dec . 18 at 6:30 p . m .

Yoder , who grew up in Coshocton County and worked at JHM as a teenager , will join via Zoom for a special exploration of her novel ’ s themes . Museum staff will highlight Native American and Asian artifacts from the collection , using them to delve into origin and transformation stories

The Johnson- Humrickhouse Museum is located in Historic Roscoe Village at 300 N . Whitewoman St . in Coshocton . Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 4 p . m . Admission is free every Sunday for Coshocton County residents .

The Salvation Army in Coshocton , located at 219 N . Fourth St . in downtown Coshocton , continues to offer access to its onsite clothing room by appointment .

The clothing room is a service that allows individuals in need of essential items such as winter coats , boots , pants and gloves to receive items with a clothing voucher that will be provided at the time of the appointment .

“ The clothing room has been a key program of The Salvation Army in Coshocton for many years and will continue to be a resource . The clothing room has been temporarily closed to shoppers while The Salvation Army completes some necessary restructuring of this program . In the meantime we find that it is critical for our residents throughout Coshocton County to be aware that the clothing room is still available to them to obtain essential winter items ,” said Maj . Kevin Schoch , commanding officer of The Salvation Army in Coshocton . The Salvation Army in Coshocton accepts donations for the clothing room as residents refresh their winter apparel . These donations can be made at The Salvation Army on weekdays from 9:30 a . m . to 2 p . m . or by appointment .

“ As you look through your closet and consider what to do with winter clothing that you no longer wear or clothes your child has outgrown , please consider donating your gently used coats to The Salvation Army . These items can directly impact the lives of local area residents this winter season ,” Schoch said .
