“ I ’ m working with the Blue Star Mothers a lot and helping them ,” Daugherty said . “ Seeing you guys here today is amazing . Anything I can do to help you guys I will do . You ’ ve done a lot for our country , and I appreciate everything you have done .”
Each veteran had the opportunity to pick up a token of appreciation from a first-grade class at Coshocton Elementary School . Sharon Burns from the Blue Star Mothers brought these for the veterans . She also asked the community share names of service members with them so they can send out care packages to them .
“ Thank you for being here today ,” Burns said . “ I appreciate all you do and have done for our country . We wouldn ’ t be here without our veterans .”
