NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING COSHOCTON COUNTY PY 2021 CDBG TARGET OF OPPORTUNITY – CARES ACT
Coshocton County intends to apply to the Ohio Department of Development for funding under the Community Development Block Grant ( CDBG ) Target of Opportunity – CARES Act Program . The CDBG program is a federally-funded program administered by the State of Ohio . The County will hold a public hearing on November 29 , 2021 , at 10:00 a . m . in the Coshocton County Commissioners ’ Office , 401 ½ Main Street , Coshocton , Ohio 43812 . The hearing is to give citizens an adequate opportunity to review and comment on the proposed CDBG Program grant application before the County submits the application to the Ohio Department of Development .

Area soccer players earn 2021 MVL honors

MVL girls soccer awards were recently handed out . Several local athletes received honors .
MVL first team
— River View : Cadie Guilliams , senior , and Kelsey Bowman , senior .
— Coshocton : Keeley Murray , senior , and Destiny Frye , junior .
MVL second team / special mention
— River View : Kylie Miller , freshman , and Piper Andrews , sophomore .
Honorable mention
— Coshocton : Ella Duling , senior , and Isabelle Lauvray , sophomore .
— River View : Allyssa Fox , freshman .

RVHS golfers shine

Coshocton County will be applying for $ 3,150,00.00 in PY 2021 CDBG CARES Act funds . Local County funds in the amount of $ 25,164,883.00 is being committed for a total project cost of $ 28,314,883.00 . All work proposed for the grant is expect to be carried out between May 1 , 2022 , and June 1 , 2024 . The project under consideration includes :
The project under consideration is the installation of a new Justice Center located on 3rd Street in the City of Coshocton . The Justice Center uses the national poverty guidelines determined by the U . S . Department of Health and Human Services therefore , the project meets the National Objective of a direct housing benefit to low-moderate income persons .
Citizens are encouraged to attend this meeting in order to comment on the County ’ s proposed 2021 CDBG Target of Opportunity – CARES Act Program grant application .

The River View High School girls golf team was an OHSAA district qualifier for the fifth-consecutive year . The team included Paige Nicely , Caily Shriver , Chloey Geog , Kiera McPeck and Hollee Sheneman . Other honors were first-team All-District for Nicely , second-team All-District for Shriver and honorable mention All-District for Geog .
