Fifth-grade teachers and students participated in the annual fifth-grade poster contest sponsored by the Coshocton Soil and Water Conservation District . The students prepared entries in the 2021 conservation poster contest theme , “ Have You Eaten Any Soil Lately ,” after a video presentation on how all people ’ s food can be traced back

to the soil .

Fifteen Best of Class entries were on display at the Coshocton SWCD fair display and judged by the public to determine the top-three posters . A total of 677 eligible votes were cast .

Tatum Berry of Warsaw Elementary took first place for a $ 25 cash prize and won a pizza party for her class . Mrs .

McClain is her teacher . Ezekiel Kaku of Conesville Elementary took second place for a $ 15 cash prize and won an ice cream party for his class . Mr . Martin is his

teacher . Baylee Smith of Ridgewood Middle School took third place for a $ 10 cash prize and also won an ice cream party for her class . Mrs . McKibbon is her teacher .
