SATURDAY , NOV . 13 , 1971 A county rival match capped the ‘ 71 season for the Redskins and Black Bears , and CHS came out on top 14-3 . Both teams finished the season with winning records , with Coshocton ending 5-4-1 and River View 8-2-0 . This is CHS ’ first winning season since 1966 . The Redskins scored two touchdowns , one by Dick Hart and the other by Tim Sister , and Paul Sadler scored the conversion on each . River View ’ s Terry Albertson put in a field goal for three points . SUNDAY , NOV . 15 , 1981 After an initial 15-2 , 15-8 win over Tri-Valley , the Lady Bears Regional run came to an end . Lakewood ’ s Lancers beat them in the finals 15-11 , 15-7 . Caroline Mast led the team in scoring against both the Scotties and the Lancers , with her scoring nine points against Tri-Valley and seven against Lakewood . In the game against the Scotties , she was followed by Sherri Finnell with eight points . Against the Lancers she was followed by Lori Haines with five . TUESDAY , NOV . 12 , 1991
Yesterday Coshocton , and the rest of the world , observed Veteran ’ s Day . Marking the armistice that ended the first World War , Coshocton ’ s sole surviving veteran of the war , George W . Brunskill , was present for the service . THURSDAY , NOV . 15 , 2001 “ My students inspire me every day with their energy and enthusiasm for dance . I just wanted to provide another outlet for their talent and expose my dancers to more performing opportunities ,” said Jennifer Nelson , director of Miss Jennifer ’ s Dance Company . A troupe of 12 dancers , whittled down from 30 , will be performing at the Heart of Gold ’ s Charity Ball , which will be held Saturday . WEDNESDAY , NOV . 16 , 2011 On Nov . 10 the River View High School library was home to a letter of intent ceremony . Amanda Weatherwax , accompanied by her parents Steve and Daria Weatherwax , signed to play for the Ohio Valley University volleyball team . The Fighting Scots are a Division II team from Vienna , West Virginia , and coached by Paul Jacoby .
