Declutter and simplify to help lessen confusion for loved ones
Simple is best for the elderly and people with dementia or Alzheimer’ s disease. Keeping it simple causes less confusion and less stress.
It’ s a good idea to declutter and simplify the room where your loved one or client will be spending most of their day. Look around and decide what really needs to be there. For an individual who uses a walker, too many furniture pieces can cramp the room, get knocked over or cause falling accidents. Put unneeded items in storage. Don’ t take this task on alone. Ask for help.
Think about the closet too. Simplify and eliminate unneeded items, thereby giving fewer choices.
Keep it simple and safe.

Chamber looks for Coshocton to continue to thrive in 2025
As we step into May, we want to take a moment to extend a heartfelt thankyou to all our members, partners and the incredible Coshocton County community. Your support made our annual auction campaign a tremendous success. The funds raised will play a vital role in our mission to market and promote Coshocton County as a wonderful place to live, work and visit. We could not do it without your continued enthusiasm and generosity.
Behind the scenes, our Empower HER Network is buzzing with energy and new initiatives. Stay tuned as we roll out exciting opportunities aimed at supporting and uplifting women in business throughout our region.
May also is Small Business Month, and we are thrilled to celebrate by launching a special social media campaign highlighting many of Coshocton County’ s unique and vibrant businesses. Our staff is especially proud of the incredible growth we’ ve been seeing across our social media platforms. It’ s exciting to know more people than ever are discovering all the wonderful things happening right here at home.
We love telling your stories and showcasing the spirit of Coshocton County. This monthlong celebration honors the vital contributions of small businesses to
our economy.
We’ re also looking forward to several ribbon cuttings in May, welcoming new businesses and celebrating growth across the county. One event we are especially excited about is the grand opening of the Coshocton Collaborative on Main Street. Its newly renovated space is a fantastic addition to our downtown area, and we can’ t wait to share its journey— and its beautiful new facility— with all of you.
There’ s so much happening in Coshocton County, and it’ s all thanks to a community that believes in growth, connection and a bright future. Coshocton is Thriving in 2025, and it’ s because of the passion and pride of people like you. Thank you for being part of it— and for helping make Coshocton shine!
