Lapsit, story time for age 0-3 and preschool story time for age 3-6 will take place twice a week at Coshocton and once a week at West Lafayette in the summer. There also will be story times in parks throughout Coshocton County every other Monday during the Summer Reading

Program. Make sure to check the library calendar for locations near you.
Just like during the regular year, the library will continue to have book club for third grade through sixth grade every month. In June and July, it will offer weekly Monday crafts for children at the main library and branch library. There will be programs for tweens and teens at the branch library in June and July.

The weekly teen plugged and unplugged programs will rotate different activities each week with art, board games, puzzles and computers.
Family game night will be Monday, July 7. There will be four virtual author presentations throughout June and July. Don’ t forget to check out the newly refreshed story walk at Clary Gardens.
This summer the

library also will host special presenter programs. There will be two opportunities to attend Catch an Art Thief to learn about art history, solve puzzles and create masterpieces. Fantastical Hedgehog Magic will feature an interactive magic show with an appearance by Sedgie the Hedgie, a live hedgehog. Finally, there will be an afternoon with the Coshocton Dulcimer Gathering to listen |
to music and learn about the history and art of the dulcimer.
In addition to programs at the library and off-site, youth may participate in individual activities like scavenger hunts and bingo. A set of activities will be available with your summer reading materials, and new ones will be available in July.

County District Library has coordinated schedules with Clary Gardens, Historic Roscoe Village, Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum and Pomerene Center for the Arts to maximize opportunities for Coshocton families to take part in youth programming. Youth who attend 10 programs at any of those locations may collect stamps to earn free admission to Lake Park Aquatic Center. |
