Coshocton hospital was named a top-100 hospital
Coshocton Regional Medical Center was recognized as a 2021 Top 100 Hospital in the Nation by Fortune and IBM Watson Health . In the annual list published by Fortune , Top 100 Hospital recipients showcase excellence in clinical outcomes , operational efficiency , patient experience and financial health .

Stacey Ganz was excited to see Coshocton students enjoying their own version of the annual Special Olympics .
“ They are having a blast ,” said Ganz , who is a multi-category teacher at Coshocton High School .
Ganz was one of several Coshocton staff members who helped special-needs students in elementary , junior high and high school bowl on April 29 at Legacy Lanes .
“ They didn ’ t get to do Special Olympics last year or this year ,” Ganz said . “ Sue and Jeff Oswald gave us a deal to come here , and they have adaptive equipment so anybody can do this .”
Lunch at the bowling alley was paid for by the school district , and gift bags and ribbons were brought by Toby Collins .
“ The schools are each doing something different , and I ’ m delivering the stuff to them ,” here to serve our patients and deliver the best patient experience possible . This award confirms our hard work and commitment to that vision . This recognition demonstrates Coshocton Regional Medical Center ’ s ongoing commitment to prioritize patientcentered care . According to IBM Watson Health , as compared to similar hospitals , the hospitals included on the Fortune / IBM Watson Health 100 Top Hospitals list had better results on key clinical and operational performance indicators . These include survival rates , patient complications , healthcare-associated infections , 30-day mortality and 30-day hospital-wide readmission rates , length of stay , throughput in emergency departments , inpatient expenses , profitability , and ratings from patients .

said Collins , who is the director of recreation and Special Olympics for the Coshocton County Board of Developmental Disabilities . “ I love being part of this .”
Another happy helper was Amy Dennison . “ I did this with my daughter ,” she said . “ We started when she was in kindergarten at South Lawn . She is 18 and graduated , but now I get to come with my grandson .”
Her grandson Zander Lewis is in kindergarten at Coshocton Elementary School . She looks forward to watching this new group of Special Olympians grow .
“ I love to see the kids ’ reactions ,” Dennison said . “ Their faces light up . I love seeing their faces . You get to watch them grow too and see how they progressed in their abilities each year .”
