Shirley Ann Weaver, age 90, of Coshocton, passed away on Wednesday, May 21, 2025.
She was born on February 18, 1935, in Akron, Ohio, the only child of William and Florence Huggler. She graduated from Buchtel High School in 1952 and, due to the recent death of her father, immediately relocated with her mother to Millersburg, Ohio, her mother’ s hometown. She worked in Millersburg as a telephone operator, then at the Ohio Power

Company, and eventually at the Holmes County Board of Elections. She was active in Mother’ s Club and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Shirley married Albert Arnold in 1955, in Millersburg and they had two children, Curt and Dawn. Albert passed away in 1967, after a brief illness, and she became a single parent of two small children. She married Robert Weaver in 1971, and relocated to Ashland, Ohio, where their daughter Wendy was born. In

1974, the family relocated to Coshocton, Ohio, where Shirley lived for the rest of her life. Robert passed away in 2007, after a brief illness.
Shirley was active with her children’ s school, sports, and musical activities, the Presbyterian Church, Hospice of Coshocton, the Ohio Power Company retirees, helping in the church office, dining out with friends, as well as enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carl Emmert, age 85, of Coshocton, passed away on Saturday, May 17, 2025. He was born on April 26, 1940, in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Carl and Nellie( Uher) Emmert.
He graduated from Franciscan University of Steubenville and then joined the United States Army in 1962, proudly serving until 1968. On October 22, 1966, he married his wife, Carol( Jones) Emmert.
Carl worked in sales and traveled all over the world for Edmonts. After retiring he began working for Pomerene and Burns Law Office doing title searches for over 10 years. He was a life-long member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Coshocton, was a member of the Coshocton Kiwanis Club, the Elks and Knights of Columbus. Carl was a very devoted man to his church and to his family. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and working in his yard. He was a big teddy bear and loved his family very
lived at Windsorwood Place assisted living facility in Coshocton.
She is survived by her children, Curt Arnold of Cleveland, Dawn( Lance) Fulks of Coshocton, and Wendy( Roy) Streeter of Bedford, Indiana; her grandchildren, Erica( Matt) Opachick, Andrew Fulks, Ashley Fulks, Dylan Streeter, Kaylee Streeter, and Lindsay Streeter; and great-grandchildren Oscar and Jewell Opachick.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Given-Dawson-Paisley Funeral Home. A Mass of Chirstian Burial will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Thomas Gardner officiating.
