Grier was thankful for great bosses
After years of dedicated service, Mark Fortune and his wife Nancy are retiring from The Coshocton County Beacon, the cherished hometown newspaper Mark founded. This beloved publication has played a vital role in uniting our community. I had the privilege of working with Mark for 11 years, and somewhere during that time, his wife Nancy became an integral part of our team.
Mark was a wonderful employer( though I might have contributed to a few of those gray hairs!), and Nancy’ s presence was an added delight, always keeping us on our toes. Since leaving my sales position, I’ ve truly missed working alongside them and being part of The Beacon family. I especially miss Nancy’ s yummy“ surprise” Buehler’ s doughnuts! One of my fondest memories is walking into the office each morning and occasionally hearing Mark’ s cheerful greeting,“ Good Morning Sunshine!”
Mark was a fair and forgiving leader who consistently prioritized his employees. Congratulations to both of you on your well-deserved retirement. I wish you both all the joy and relaxation you so richly deserve.
