Ribbon cutting held at McWane Ductile

To all those who served and made the ultimate sacrifice ...
A ribbon cutting was held May 16 at McWane Ductile for the new plant expansion and supplemental job creation in Coshocton .
“ It ’ s an exciting day to see this project finally come to fruition ,” said Tom Crawford , vice president and general manager . “ Our poles started well over 10 years ago out of a very small building . It ’ s gone to a 4,000-square-foot building now , accumulated over $ 50 million projects . I couldn ’ t be more excited to work with the city , the county commissioners , port authority — we very much appreciate their support — and two great contractors ECNS based out of Birmingham and Kraft Werks out of Cleveland . They basically did this project in less than two years . It was one heck of an accomplishment , from engineering , to breaking ground , to the last week and a half where we had our first test run , and it was very successful .
“ The exciting thing is we are almost up to 600 employees here on our campus . We love that we can be a big part of Coshocton and provide good-paying jobs . This is just another investment in the community that shows we are going to be here for a long time , and we are really proud of that . What we do is meaningful . People sometimes take water for granted or electricity for granted . We make parts for those systems that allow us to live a pretty good life . We are proud of that .”

But I knew it was important to our company , to this location , to the industry , the electrical industry , the water industry , the electrical grid , a very important project , and it was an easy decision to make .
