Eight local Young Agricultural Professionals groups have been awarded $ 500 grants for educational programming or events they are planning or that have taken place already in 2024 .

The local grants are a part of Farm Credit Mid-America ’ s $ 100,000 donation to Farm Bureau young leader programs in its six-state region of Arkansas , Indiana , Kentucky , Missouri , Ohio and Tennessee .

Millfork Valley 4-H Club had a meeting on May 14 at RUMC at 6:30 p . m . Before the meeting , they replaced flags on the graves of veterans .

Focusing on youth development and fun , the upcoming Coshocton County square dance and youth event hosted by Coshocton County Farm Bureau will include Ridgewood and River View FFA chapters hosting a joint chapter meeting and

Neveah Mast . The treasurer ’ s report was read by Colton Gress . The safety tip on poison ivy was given by Gavin Shannon . The health tip was presented by Tyler Short on staying hydrated , and Evan Short had an environmental tip on plants . Jenny Strickler led a team-building activities , followed by square dance lessons for the youth of Coshocton , Knox and Licking counties . The square dance , which also will bring in local YAP members , has proven to be a great networking and engagement event for all involved counties . Farm Bureau members will receive free admission to the event .

The Gnadenhutten Women ’ s Club celebrated its 100th anniversary in May .

The group was founded in 1927 and currently has 18 active members . They meet seven times a year and have different programs for each meeting . They also contribute a monetary amount to local grade schools , Dress a Child and Share-A- Christmas .

The club discussed the Memorial Day parade , and they will have a float in this year ’ s parade . Colton Gress motioned to adjourn the meeting . The next meeting will be held at RUMC on May 28 at 6:30 p . m .
