34 THE BEACON www.coshoctonbeacontoday.com Students compete in Envirothon The Coshocton County Career Center’s Natural Resources team competed in an Envirothon in Bloomingdale at the Jefferson County Sportsman’s Club. There were 44 teams from District 3 competing in the event. The Coshocton County Career Center team finished seventh overall. Students were tested on their knowledge in five areas of study: Wildlife, Forestry, Aquatics, Soils and Current Environmental Issues. The Career Center team was comprised of the following five students: Team Captain - Adam Daugherty; Team Reader - Robert Walker; Ben Thomas, Austin Kraskey, and Sheyanne Walker. The AWANA awards ceremony celebrated the accomplishments of the many children in the community who memorized hundreds of Bible verses this year.
