Nathan Fauver , who earned 10 varsity letters at Coshocton High , signs to play college baseball and continue his education at the University of Mount Union .
that really has me looking forward to a good baseball career at Mount Union .”
Fauver also earned three varsity letters as a two-way starter for the Redskins football team in addition to being a three-year letterman for the Redskins basketball team .
“ This was my first year with Nate . I would have been with him last year had we not been suspended due to COVID-19 ,” CHS baseball coach Nathan Prati
said . “ One thing that really stood out to me this year is his dedication to being a leader , and I think that helped us play during the year because he took on the role , whether it was being on our baseball committee or being part of our big brother system that we did within the team . He really bought into that .
“ He has been able to be an even-keel player this year because he has not let the highs get too high
or the lows get too low . I think that really allowed him to be a leader for us throughout the entire year , ( and ) I ’ m proud of him for taking the next step . He is someone who did it himself , and anytime you see a family that has put in the work and done things right , it ’ s great to see Nate go on to the next level , take that next step and realize the dream that some of us had when we were little playing in the backyard . I ’ m proud for him and happy for the family , and I ’ m excited to see what happens in the next four years .”
“ Nathan has been a standout athlete during his four years at CHS ,” CHS athletic director Tim Fortney said . “ I will remember him most for being a versatile athlete who could play just about any position in football , basketball or baseball . Our coaches were always trying to figure out a way to get him on the field and get the ball in his hands . He is a tough competitor , and we hope that Nathan continues his success at the University of Mount Union .”
