Expansion of bridge decorations is planned
Our Town Coshocton announced the expansion of decorations for the Three Rivers Bridge . Included in this project are the same snowflakes that lit downtown for the Christmas season , the hope and joy banners , and a set of Historic Downtown / Historic Roscoe Village dual-sided banners . This project was funded by the Edwin F . Mulligan Endowment Fund of the Coshocton Foundation to amplify the bridge during the winter season .
“ Last winter will be the
last time we have an empty bridge during the colder months . We are grateful to the Coshocton Foundation for its continuing support to make Coshocton an attractive option for visitors and a community that residents can take pride in ,” said Lanny Spaulding , executive director of Our Town Coshocton .
The OTC board voted to include in the project an order for a standard set of dual-sided downtown and Roscoe banners . The Roscoe side viewed traveling from downtown , and the downtown side viewed traveling from Roscoe .
“ Roscoe Village is one of our closest partners in the community , and we wanted a standard set of banners to showcase Historic Downtown and Roscoe Village as two sides of the same community . From Main Street to Whitewoman Street , we see a unified historic and economic corridor . This was showcased recently by the joint pub crawl and Cinco de Mayo scavenger hunt . The new banners will
be a simple yet visible way to represent our one historic community and encourage across-the-bridge traffic ,”
