Coshocton 14u boys pick up wins
Coshocton ’ s 14u eighth-grade baseball team won over Strasburg 15-8 on April 24 . The winning pitcher was Dylan Wood with eight strikeouts . Leading batters were Bransyn Dawson with four singles and two RBI ; Cooper George with three singles ; Calan Shaw with one single , one double , one triple and three RBI ; and Dylan Wood with one single , one double and three RBI .
On April 26 Coshocton won over Newcomerstown 6-4 . The winning pitcher was Calan Shaw with 10 strikeouts . He only allowed one hit and three earned runs . Leading batters were Payne Skelton , Marcus Justice and Paxton Bratton with one single each .
Coshocton won again on April 27 . They defeated Dennison Disposal 14-4 . The winning pitcher was Champ Haley , who allowed zero hits and zero earned runs . He also had four strikeouts . Leading batters were Champ Haley with one single , one triple and four RBI ; Dylan Wood with two singles and two RBI ; and Payne Skelton with two singles .
Coshocton ’ s 12u black beats RV
Coshocton ’ s 12u team black and coach Watson won over River View 11-2 . The winning pitcher was Jace Coffman , who pitched three scoreless innings during the April 17 game . Leading batters were Coffman with two singles and one double ; Frischen with one single , one double and one triple ; and Potts with two singles .
On April 26 the team won over East Muskingum 23-1 . The leading pitcher was Watson with two scoreless innings . He added two singles and one double . Frischen had a home run , one double and one single ; Alverson had a home run and one double ; and Miller had two doubles and one single .
Team red reports Coshocton scores
On April 24 Coshocton team red and coach Kohler lost to West Muskingum 2-11 . The leading pitcher for Coshocton was Luke Jacobs , who had five strikeouts .
On April 26 the team lost to River View 8-9 . The leading pitcher for Coshocton was Luke Jacob again with seven strikeouts .
Coshocton 10u team wins
On April 24 Coshocton 10u team and coach Hall won over River View blue 15-5 in four innings . The winning pitcher was Gabriel Davis with five strikeouts . Closing pitcher Braylon Baker had five strikeouts . Leading batters were Easton Elson with a home run , double and single ; Graham Stiteler with a triple , double and single ; and Dane Hall with two doubles and one single .
On April 26 they picked up another win , defeating Tri-Valley gold 17-3 in four innings . The winning pitcher was Graham Stiteler with two scoreless innings and six strikeouts in three innings . Closing pitcher Dane Hall had three strikeouts to close the game with zero earned runs and one walk . Leading batters were Graham Stiteler with a home run , triple and single ; Remington Huff with two doubles and one triple ; Dane Hall with two doubles and a single ; and Tyler Woodby with a home run , double and single .

River View ’ s Nicely is set to golf at Wooster

River View senior Paige Nicely signed a letter of intent to play girls golf at The College of Wooster .
“ I started golfing in seventh grade with my dad ,” she said . “ He was the junior high coach . He made me play golf , and now I like it . I ’ ve been golfing all four years and have been on varsity all four years , captain of the team for three years , sophomore through senior year . I made second-team Ohio for golf my freshman and sophomore year and first team junior and senior year .”
Her mom Christy Nicely said , “ We ’ re so proud of Paige and her character too . She is kind and

River View senior Paige Nicely signed a letter of intent to play girls golf at The College of Wooster . sweet and hardworking . With all the work she has done to this point to be able to go to The College of Wooster , we ’ re excited she is going to play golf . She played in high school and had a great time with it . We ’ re looking forward to the next four years and her future in teaching . She plans to major in education and hopes to come back to River View someday .”
Her dad Sean Nicely has coached her since the eighth grade . “ She has come a long way . I ’ m happy she will be able to do it in a nice place with a coach and team that are happy together . School wise , she has been incredible , and we are happy to get her an academic scholarship . We are very proud of her ,” he said .
Grandparents Christy and Jon Mosier said they are proud of her . “ We know she is going to do great things in the future ,” Christy Mosier said .
“ We feel she is going to make a great teacher in four years . She would love to come back and teach here at River View , so it ’ s a win-win ,” Jon Mosier said . “ She is going to a wonderful college , and she loves playing golf , so she is going to play golf with them .”
River View Principal Josh Branch said , “ Paige is an outstanding young lady and has established herself . She is a great golfer , a great student and we are excited that she accepted a scholarship to be a math or science teacher . Hopefully , we can get her back here at River View and she can join our staff . We always look for graduates that can come back and are great employees for our school district .”
