McDonald’ s adding new menu item

McDonald’ s of Northeast Ohio will have the nationwide debut of its all-new McCrispy Strips and Creamy Chili Dip, the brand’ s first permanent menu addition in four years.
Beginning Monday, May 5, customers can get these chicken strips made with 100 % white meat with black pepper flavor, paired with a sweet and tangy dipping sauce.
Strips will be available in three-piece or four-piece orders or as part of a meal with fries and a drink.
The McCrispy Strips are the latest innovation from McDonald’ s test kitchens. While fans may remember past favorites like Chicken Selects, McCrispy Strips are an entirely new creation.

The Sleepy Lane Motel, located off Route 16 towards Conesville, was selected as the location for a new assisted living group home by the Coshocton County Board for Mental Retardation. The home will serve mentally disabled adults, and according to Jim Gauerke is the first of several planned houses. It is expected that the home will be prepared by September of this year.

Ney and Representative Joseph Secrest spoke at the event, with an open house following the ribbon cutting. Rev. William McFadden of Grace United Methodist Church and Rev. It was recently announced that several schools in River View Local Schools would be getting new principals. Peggy Papritan will serve as principal for Conesville Elementary. Papritan comes to us from Perry County where she served as principal of Glenford Elementary for eight years.“ I hope that when they come to Conesville they see it as a place they can’ t wait to get to. It’ s a place of excitement and a place of fun because learning can be fun. It shouldn’ t be drudgery,” said Papritan. Superintendent for county elementary schools, Bee Richard-Lehner, will be replacing Andy Duda as principal of Keene Elementary. Lehner has taught for 16 years before deciding to go into school administration. Lehner has previously taught with several of Keene’ s teachers before, and said her goal is to make sure teachers can feel good about themselves.“ I think the teachers need to have a positive self-esteem before those kids are going to leave that classroom with positive self-esteem. And that’ s where I feel like I hope to make a difference,” said Lehner. Vicki Johnson will be Union Schools’ principal. Johnson has taught for the past seven years and previously taught at Union for one of them. Union was recently awarded with a grant to allow its teachers to receive additional training and develop new curriculums.“ Because of this grant, Union School has an obligation to share what they learn and that’ s a big commitment for the school and for the district. Whatever opportunities that can be shared will be with others,” said Johnson.

Today will see Ohio perform the largest citizenship ceremony in state history, with over 800 taking the oath of citizenship. Among them will be Coshocton’ s Phady Phaosiveong, who came to Coshocton in 1983 fleeing violence in Laos. Sponsored by Grace United Methodist Church, Phady her late husband and five children came to Coshocton.“ The church has become my family, my home is here,” said Phaosiveong, who now works as the church’ s custodian.

“ God has a particular plan for each of us and he has a particular plan for each of our students. Tonight, we want to celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ and celebrate some of the things our students have done,” said Coshocton Christian School principal, Stan Zurowski. The Coshocton Christian School held its annual scholarship dinner on the 23rd. Mission Auto Connection co-owner, Sharon Revennaugh, served as guest speaker, with Pastor Cliff Biggers giving the closing prayer.“ When god says something, it will come to pass. It’ s the in-between time that we struggle with. We have trouble with the time between God said, and God saw,” Biggers concluded.
