COSHOCTON - Matt and Lori Judy of Dover , Scott and Terrie Golec of Dennison , and Bill and Kim Hutchinson of Coshocton announce the engagement of their children , Caitlin Elizabeth Golec and William Tyler Hutchinson .
Caitlin graduated from Dover High School in 2009 and from The Ohio State University in 2013 where she is employed as an event planner .
William graduated from Ridgewood High School in 2007 and is employed at Precision Grading , LLC .
Caitlin and William live in Columbus . Their wedding is planned for April 29 in Millersburg .

Lower named state bee semifinalist

WEST LAFAYETTE - Jordan Lower , a seventh grader at Ridgewood Middle School , was notified by the National Geographic Society that he is one of the semifinalists eligible to compete in the 2017 Ohio National Geographic State Bee . The contest will be held on Friday , March 31 , 2017 .
This is the second level of the National Geographic Bee competition , which is now in its 29th year . School bees were held in schools with fourth- through eighth-grade students throughout the state to determine each school champion . School champions then took a qualifying test , which they submitted to the National Geographic Society . The National Geographic Society has invited up to 100 of the top-scoring students in each of the 50 states , the District of Columbia , Department of Defense Dependents Schools and U . S . territories to compete in the state bees .
Lower is the son of Merlene and Michael Lower . He is one of three students in Ridgewood Middle School history to achieve this accomplishment .
