Museum hosting crochet class

COSHOCTON - The Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum is hosting crochet classes on March 11 and 25 , from 9 a . m . to noon .
Projects for each class are based on the Coshocton County Fair Book ’ s competition entries . Project for March 11 is the blanket stitch , a quick stitch that is perfect for baby blankets and lap blankets . The project for March 25 is embellishments such as flowers and hearts . These can be applied to hats , shirts , pins and clips .
Instructor Jessie Tubbs will demonstrate how to make the stitches for each project . Participants should bring a crochet hook and two skeins or worsted yarn - acrylic , wool or a blend . The pattern will be provided .
The instructor , Jessie Tubbs , has more creative ideas than hours in the day . She has made a name for herself making whimsical animal hats , which can be viewed on her business ’ s Facebook page , Hooked on Hats and more . Cost is $ 9 / class or two or more classes , $ 7.50 each . Cost for Museum members is $ 7 / class .

Learn how to discuss end of life wishes

COSHOCTON - Community Hospice of Coshocton County is holding a free , community screening of the documentary “ Being Mortal ” on Monday , March 13 , from 5:30 to 7:30 p . m . at the Coshocton Senior Center .
After the screening , audience members can participate in a facilitated panel discussion on how to take concrete steps to identify and communicate wishes about end-of-life goals and preferences .

Junior garden club plans organizational meeting

COSHOCTON – The organizational meeting for the Sowers and Growers Jr . Garden Club will be held Thursday , March 16 after school in the Keene School cafeteria . The club is for children in Coshocton County ages 6-18 who are interested in planting , gardening , beautification and harvesting plants . The group also does crafts , field trips and addresses many topics pertaining to preserving and caring for our natural resources .
The junior club is sponsored by the Town and Country Garden Club .
