Coshocton ’ s varsity boys moved on to the next step in basketball tournament action by defeating River View 58-50 on Feb . 26 .
Colton Conkle led Coshocton with 21 points , and Alex Taylor had 17 . For River View Laired Williamson scored 16 points and Hayden Walters had 14 .
Coshocton ’ s tournament run came to an end on March 1 with a 50-52 loss to Garaway . Colton Conkle had 13 points , JJ Herman had 12 and Blayden Workman had 11 .
GIRLS BASKETBALL
The MVL 2024-25 girls basketball smallschool division awards went to Coshocton sophomore Lillyan Braxton , who received second-team honors , and her teammate senior Haylie Gates , who earned honorable mention .
In the big-school division , River View junior Elania Brenly was selected to the first team , and River View senior Annie Killiany received honorable mention .
