Shrivers Hospice cuts ribbon at Coshocton location

The Coshocton Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of Shrivers Hospice Care at 232 Chestnut St . in Coshocton .
“ Thank you all for coming to the ribbon cutting for Shrivers Hospice of Coshocton . On behalf of the Coshocton Chamber of Commerce , we love to see this crowd here today . I think this speaks volumes of the need in Coshocton for hospice . Thank you for coming to Coshocton and providing this service ,” said Amy Crown , executive director of the Coshocton Chamber of Commerce .
Mayor Mark Mills said , “ It ’ s exciting that we have another business opening up in our community with a local person . I love the connection with Marge Donley . Marge has invested in this community very much .”
Marge Donley has been associated with Shrivers Hospice from the beginning , and she has personal experience with them . Her husband had treatment from them for a short time and received excellent care .
“ I am very proud to be working for Shrivers Hospice , and I can honestly say we do it right ,” she said . “ We provide the services that are needed . Not only do we provide the services that are needed , but we go above and beyond . We also have a social worker and a chaplain on call .”

show the community what we can do . While we are relatively new to you , we are not a new company . We started our journey in late 2016 , early 2017 .
“ We serve 15 counties across Southeastern Ohio . Each time we expanded our market , we have built our team with local people caring for them . We are
very excited about that and want to continue building our local team to support our mission of providing the highest quality hospice experience for our patients and their families .”
Greg Paisley is a pharmacist and vice president of Coler Healthcare , Shrivers Pharmacies and Shrivers Hospice . He has been assisting people in his community with their Medicare needs for over 18 years and has served on multiple national boards during that time .
“ Thank you all for being here today . I have four children . I ’ ve spent a lot of time here in Coshocton playing soccer , and our church camp is in Warsaw , so I am very familiar with the area , and we are super-excited to be here ,” Paisley said . “ Thank you for welcoming us , and we are very excited to provide hospice care . Both my parents were in hospice care , so I really know what hospice can mean to a family . Thank you for coming out today .”
Shrivers has volunteers and bereavement services and is one of the only hospices in Southeastern Ohio that provides pediatric hospice services . Its future goals for this office and top priority right now are patients age 21 and under can receive pediatric care and hospice treatments . It also has a wish-fulfillment program .
“ Someday is Today ” is the motto for Shrivers Hospice Foundation ’ s wishfulfillment program . Patients may dream of going on a plane ride , attending a family reunion out of state , seeing a final game by a favorite sports team or interacting with a horse again . The organization has done over 400 patient wishes so far .
Shrivers Hospice provides special care for people who are terminally ill . This involves a team-oriented approach that addresses the medical , physical , social , emotional and spiritual needs of the patient . Hospice also provides support to the patient ’ s family or caregiver .
