Florence M . “ Tootie ” Brandel , 92 , of Coshocton passed away on Sunday , Feb . 21 , 2021 at Windsorwood Place in Coshocton with her family by her side .
Florence was born in Cambridge , Ohio on Dec . 13 , 1928 to the late William C . and Lily A . ( Lake ) Longsworth . She graduated from Cambridge High School and retired from Coshocton City Schools after 28 years as a secretary .
She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church where she was active in the choir and was a Sunday school

John L . Dovenbarger

John L . Dovenbarger , 80 , of West Lafayette , Ohio passed away at Lafayette Pointe Nursing Home in West Lafayette on Saturday Feb . 27 , 2021 .
John was born in Morgan County on October 20 , 1940 to the late Alfred and Alta ( Cain ) Dovenbarger .
He graduated from Conesville High School , had worked at AEP Conesville Power Plant in security and in the maintenance department at Whispering Falls Campground and the Coshocton County Fairgrounds . John and his wife , Glenna were well known for selling snow cones , popcorn and lemonade at their traveling concession stand , Dove ’ s Concessions .
John is survived by his children , Donnie ( Cecelia ) Shriver of Leesburg , FL , Dane Shriver of Wooster and Jonna ( Bruce ) Wright of Wooster ; six grandchildren ; 11 great-grandchildren ; several nieces and nephews .

Shirley Pearl Foster , 63 of West Lafayette , passed away on Friday , Feb . 19 , 2021 following an extended illness .
She was born Feb . 22 , 1957 , in Coshocton , Ohio , to the late Harry Ray and Elma ( Darr ) Carnes .
She graduated from River View School in 1975 and worked at Burger Chef , Turner Hardware , then worked as a STNA at Autumn Health Care , Oak Pointe of Baltic , Ohio and Lafayette Pointe for many years until becoming disabled .
Shirley enjoyed baking and gardening in her flower bed . She also enjoyed spending time with her children ,
Child Study Club .
Florence is survived by her children , Ric Brandel of Columbus , Karin ( Michael ) Gorius of Heath , Linnet ( Gary ) Lowe of Coshocton , Beverly ( John ) Tatro of Galion and Bruce ( Emily ) Brandel of Cedar Park , TX ; one sister , Ruth Calvert of Cambridge ; six grandchildren , Amanda ( Rusty ) Stickdorn , Jamie ( Tom ) Fay , Josh ( Hannah ) Tatro , Sarah Tatro , Katelyn Gorius and Lane ( Shaun ) Pickering ; greatgrandchildren , JoJo and
Avery Stickdorn , Chaz and Chase Bradford , Destiny Taylor , Eleanor and David Pickering ; sisters-in-law Elizabeth Clary of Coshocton and Marsha Longsworth of Cambridge , OH ; brother-in-law Jim Brandel of Jacksonville , FL ; and numerous nieces and nephews .
Along with her parents , she is preceded in death by her husband , Richard Brandel whom she married June 14 , 1953 ; Richard passed away on Jan . 27 , 2006 ;

Joan Grace Schlegel , 94 , of Coshocton died Wednesday , Feb . 24 , 2021 at her residence .
She was born Nov . 29 , 1926 in Wheeling , WV to the late Robert Denley and Olea Marcella ( Kasun ) Johnston .
She was a member of the Coshocton Presbyterian Church , Friends of the Museum , Jr . Woman ’ s Club , Pink Ladies , and various Bridge Clubs .
She is survived by her sons , Stephen Schlegel and Denley ( Diane ) Schlegel of Coshocton . Daughter-inlaw , Sue Schlegel of Piqua . Grandchildren , Kara Schlegel of Dayton , Erin Schlegel of Youngstown , Amy Schlegel of Chicago , IL , Jennifer Schlegel of Columbus , Stephen C . Schlegel of Dayton , and Scott ( Katie ) Schlegel of Dresden . Great-grandchildren , Taylor , Grant , & Grace Schlegel . Nieces , Cheri Whipps , P . J . Schwartz , Suzy Schlegel . Nephews , Scott Johnston , John Schlegel , & Mike Schlegel . Sisterin-law , Dolly Johnston of Columbus .
Joan was preceded in death by her husband , Edward F . Schlegel II on Jan . 13 , 1983 . She was also preceded in death by a son Edward F . Schlegel III , her family and her dogs .
On Sept . 22 , 1978 , Shirley married David Alan Foster who survives . Together they had two boys , Brian Keith Foster of Noble County and Travis Lee Foster of Manassas , Virginia and stepson , Scott Alan Foster of West Lafayette ; five grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter ; three brothers , Harold Eugene ( Charlotte ) Carnes of Coshocton , Robert Lee Carnes of Kentucky , and Jeff Lynn ( Linda ) Carnes of Coshocton , two sisters Linda Rae Nichols and Anna Marie ( Dwight ) Jenkins both of Coshocton ; and special friends including , Lynn Wilson of Frazeysburg , Steve Timberlake of Kentucky , Robert Worthington of West Lafayette and Hattie Gipe of West Lafayette .
Along with her parents , Shirley is preceded in death two brothers , Thomas Longsworth and Todd Salters ; and sister , Dolly Bradford .
A memorial service will be held in the spring at Grace United Methodist Church .
