The library can take you on an adventure this summer
Adventure awaits . All ages are invited to participate in special programs , activities and challenges this summer at the library in celebration of the 2024 Summer Reading theme , “ Adventure Begins at Your Library .”
Children and teens can earn rewards and incentives by completing reading challenges and activities and attending programs . For every five hours of reading , an entry is earned for a grand prize . For adults , the summer challenge is based on the number of checkouts of any physical or digital library item . For every five checkouts , an entry is earned for a grand prize .
Grand prizes for adults this year include a $ 100 Walmart gift card , a $ 50 gift card to Pearl Valley Cheese and a $ 50 Kroger gift card . The library would like to thank the Coshocton Friends of the Library for donating funds for the adult prizes and to community businesses , individuals and organizations for donating funds for the youth grand prizes and incentives .
The adult summer checkout challenge began May 30 and will go through July 31 , with a midpoint prize drawing to be held July 1 . To participate in the challenge , pick up a stamp card at the Coshocton County District Library , West Lafayette Branch Library or Bookmobile or log your checkouts digitally through the

Immerse yourself in an adventure movie
“ Mission : Possible ” is for borrowing movies and TV shows for free with your library card . A few of the newest adventure movies available to borrow at the Coshocton Main Library include “ Mission : Impossible : Dead Reckoning Part One ,” “ Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny ,” “ The Flash ,” and “ The Hunger Games : The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes .”
Recently released in theaters , the upcoming DVD of “ The Fall Guy ” with Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt is in the library ’ s system and can be placed on hold . Loosely based on
the 1980s TV series with the same title , the first season of “ The Fall Guy ” series is available to borrow at Coshocton .
Explore the great outdoors
Uncover the best walking , biking and hiking trails in Ohio and other states in “ Great Outdoors U . S . A .” by National Geographic . Help your family connect with nature in “ Outdoor Kids in an Inside World ” by Steven Rinella . Find up-to-date trail descriptions , full-color maps , photos and more in “ Hiking Ohio ” by Mary T . Go on a summer road trip
